We believe you can have swinger friends as \"real\" friends. We have several couples that we consider to be our real friends. A couple of them, we have been to their house and they have been to our with both of our kids around and did as any other \"vertical\" couples would be. One couple especially, we\'ve been to their house with our kids and their kids were home on many occasions for a pool party, for labor day, for even their oldest\'s graduation, gone to a comedy club with other swingers as a group and just to get together and hang out. They have helped us move our belongings from house to house when we moved across town. We keep in touch alot even if its through a IM\'s on a messenger. The ones we consider friends are the people that want to be friends in and out of the bedroom. And we seem to pull it off with the right people that way. Just have to find the right combinations. Swingers talk a lot about commitments and open relationships. However they are in a minority position when it comes to numbers. If you are married and want a divorce and your partner will not give you one, should you be forced to have her approval to swing? It is easy for us to say do this or do that. But some things are not easy to do. I spent 10 years being emotionally separated from my wife before my divorce. Due to certain circumstances, divorce was not even a consideration during that period of my life. But for me, sex with others was not a consideration either. However, I sure understand why some men would make it an option. We all have opinions and there are no easy answers and no right or wrong ones that are set in stone. There are only the ones that are right for you. It sounds to me that you have already made up your mind though.

We are opening up to more people in the work place and in general to some of our understanding friends. Which so far has been great, infact we've turned a few friends into swingers. We are always open about our sexuality and sex life in general so when people talk to us about stuff and they find out about our lifestyle. They tend to come back later asking more and more about it. Overall the searching through profiles does get old, but we do enjoy seeing new and old friends come on the site. For us the chats and private meets are exciting. its kinda fun to do a bit of searching.

As I've been pondering all the intriguing aspects of this new world we are entering, something doesn't mesh in my mind.
We live in a nation where billions (at least multi-millions) are spent daily to advertise drugs. This is done because it enables the drug companies to make multi-billions selling drugs. You can get prescription drugs for everything from your pecker to your severe depression about your pecker! And this is only the legal/prescription drug industry - I imagine the illegal drug business is even bigger. Just exactly where do all these drugs go? I suppose a lot are consumed by folks who have minimal concerns about engaging in high risk activities? Hmmm..... swingers?nah? Fact is the math would indicate that there is a lot more coursing through the veins of just about everyone we encounter than just the good ol redwhite&blue!
Same goes for disease. I don't believe the existence of most of it is caused by long-term monogamous relationships. When you are only as safe as the very last physical contact you have and you deal in a world of relative strangers, well, you get the picture.
I hope these are not interpreted to be negative comments. I truly am just trying to figure out the mentality of the profiles I read. It strikes me the whole "d&d free" thing is either a formality/some sort of cover-your-ass disclaimer or just people kidding themselves.
