Viewers = ratings = being attractive to potential advertisers and being able to charge more per second for advertising = more profit. It has nothing to do about reality. That is why the story was so poorly researched and produced. It was not an attempt at doing a real story but rather to do something all the other channels aren't. The truth is far less interesting then the story they created about how swingers lure unsuspecting faithful Mormon men into a seedy underworld of sex and decption, leaving victims of their poor innocent wife and kids.
I said it before, they went into this having already decided what the story was going to be before they even put film in the camera, all they needed was a few juicy quotes to take out of context to support the story they had already written in a production meeting months ago. This is why posts that would be pro-lifestyle are being moderated off their message board: they do not support the story they are trying to present. Everybody loves a scandal, especially those with nothing better to do then judge others to make themselves feel better about their miserable, lonely, boring little lives.

RECOGNIZING OTHER SWINGERS - Outside of clubs & parties. - A few years back I learned right here in this forum that an upside down PINEAPPLE in your shopping cart was a signal to others that you are a swinger and on the prowl. So most times we are in a hurry while shopping, but when we do buy an pineapple we do set it on it's top in the kids seat part of the cart.. I think we swingers have no right to make moral judgments. After all, we are not following what the majority of our society deems morally sound. My wife and I were Soft Swingers for about 8yrs before she decided to go the full swap route. She is happy with her decision to do so, and enjoys the fun WE are having now. I would have liked to have got to this point a lot sooner and had often encouraged her to go for it. She told me several times, it would be alright for me to have sex with someone else if I really wanted too. There was no way I would take that chance of messing up the good thing we had. Neither of us had ever cheated on each other. This doesn't make us goody-two-shoes. It did build a trust which makes it posible for us to share the benefits of this lifestyle with confidense in each other, now.
We feel Trust and Honesty are two things that have to exist if you are going to enjoy the swinging as a couple. Sorry to hear about your situation, but we could not solve your problem if we were to play with you, only possibly make it worse. Thats just the way it is for us.

Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? - I think the fact that the site hasn't offered lifetime membership specials for so long has really impacted people's ability to connect with newer couples. They come and go too quickly to really follow people, and only the older couples are here to stay, and they often already have their close friends and might not reach out as often. The monthly fee is just too steep for what you get here considering the current level of activity. Those who are lifetime members don't have to worry about losing connections when the don't pay the bill, but they grow tired of connecting with others only to see them disappear from the site for non-payment. I say bring back the lifetime memberships and treat this site like what it is: a social network that benefits from more members and activity.
