Info for Noobs - - Bored at work today so I thought I would share some thoughts, since I know you have all been waiting for me to say something more. Don't deny it. :) I figured I would share some insights for noobs or just anyone else who will connect with our experiences. I already posted the 101 of what I thought was important, so this will be less rules and more insight. We seem to meet a lot of people who are just beginning and they always have the same questions. So.... The first thing to realize is that swingers are just like everyone else, just kinkier. They don't all fuck sheep (some do) or masterbate in public ( I do), but for the most part are just regular citizens who happen to like exciting sexual adventures. For the most part people are not very pushy, and if they are, you can quickly diffuse them just by being direct and telling them where you stand, or lie, or bend over. :) If they don't, probably a creepy couple who you don't want to see anyway. Most of the house parties we have been to are fairly mellow. Apart from the nakedness there doesn't seem to be a lot of random acts of sex happening all over the place. So don't be afraid to go to the parties, but ask before you go what the party is like. Nobody will rape you unless you like that sort of thing. We were so nervous during our first party that we sat in the car drinking until some people we knew walked us in. By the end of the night, I was the only one in my underwear. Awkward. Not really. There isn't a magical solution to meeting people. You have to make contact, talk to them and eventually meet, hopefully in an environment where you have a quick route of escape if needed. We used to invite new couples to our house for a hot tub night but quickly realized if there was no attraction for us, it was often times hard to politely get them to leave. So coffee, drinks something simple is best. We have met some of our greatest friends in the LS and are sure to meet more. The people tend to be open minded, friendly, educated and fun to be around. So even if you don't intend on playing with someone you might keep the option open for a lasting friendship, though some on the site are definitely NOT looking for that. You can figure that out pretty quickly. The Sinful parties are a great, no pressure way to meet people. Shout out to J & A (and M, I never forget M). :) The Orchard parties tend to get a little more rambunctious, but only upstairs, at least at the venue by Brewvies. So it is also a good place to go if you want to just chill, or if you want to be a little more daring and see sex or have sex. We haven't been to as many manor parties, but they are well done and seem casual as well. Don't think we have ever seen any sexual acts and Manor. Habits is definitely turning out to be a swinger's hangout. Saturdays seem to be the biggest turnout for the LS. Can be some creepers there but for the most part is fun and entertaining. Not our favorite but will do in a pinch. Our name is SameRoomOnly because when we started we were only having sex with each other, in front of others and figured we would never full swap. We learned quickly that rules are easily broken and that it is best to learn to communicate on the spot in any situation. We use hand gestures and do have a few code words if needed, though typically most people are very happy to hear open communication about what others in the situation want. We certainly do. If you don't want that ninth orgasm in a row, just tell me, I will back off. No hard feelings. Well, we have come a long way from SameRoomOnly. And here we are. Private Pics and Someone Likes You - what is the purpose. - This is a good topic and I have a few words to go with what has been said so far. For the most part, when the private pics was invented on this site (way back in early 2000), we wanted an easy way for people to add others so they could view them. Because we don't have a 'favorites' feature, people started using the 'add to friends' as a way to 'bookmark' who they thought were possibilities, etc... Thus people getting tons of 'Someone Likes You' messages without further response. I've done it plenty of times especially to build up a list of people I 'Liked' just from what I saw or read so if we ever had a private party, we could invite. Now, after personally realizing that this did not work the way I WANTED it to work and that they were actually two different functions, we've decided to create a new feature called 'Favorites.' Its basically a personal tagging system so you can tag who you think is 'hot' and who you may want to contact in the future. This allows you to keep two separate lists. One for actual friends, another for favorites. Also, because we have the custom photo albums now, you can choose to put your more risque stuff in an even more private folder and selectively add who you wish to view them. THIS IS AVAILABLE NOW. Just go to your photo albums page and click the CREATE NEW ALBUM link. So for those of you who are wondering why you get so many 'Someone Likes You' emails, it's not the fault of the person sending it but rather a missing function on the site. For those of you who get an additional email because you didn't reciprocate, don't look at it right off the bat that these are picture collectors, because there are a ton of people who are real swingers that know they can't hook up with someone '5' states away but can still make a friend and get their jollies from just chatting online and seeing pictures of each other. Who knows, maybe one day that trip will be worth it. With that said, I'm not saying how they approach you is right, no one should be mad or beg to see your private pics just because they allowed you to. I probably wouldn't want to respond back to someone like that either. So hopefully by adding a 'favorites' feature will help reduce some of that. Oh, I think someone mentioned something about the 'send a kiss' feature missing from Swingular as well. That used to be a feature here but it became a very hot topic just like this one and more members thought it was annoying than useful as they also got tons of kiss emails with no further response. So we removed it.

Ever Been Roofied At A LS Party?? - - I'm posting this question on a swinger site because it was at a SWINGER party with other SWINGERS. Thankyouverymuch, Rick and Jess. So here's how it went down: We (me and husband) went to dinner with another LS couple we're very good friends with and have known a long time. While waiting at the restaurant, she and I went to the bar and got 1 glsss of wine. We watched the bartender open and pour the wine (although 1 of us had the bottom of 1 bottle before the next was opened to finish both glasses). We finished our wine while all four of us shared the same sushi. The guys didn't get sick. So we do not believe it was the sushi. We ate at 7:30 After dinner, the four of us went back to our hotel to change for the Casino Royale LS party. She and I had different drinks, but we both used the glasses in the hotel room. Our husbands used the plastic cups. She had 1 shot. I had 1 very small glass of champagne as the glass was barely bigger than a shot glass. Possibly contaminated glasses? By 10 we were at the party. I played poker, and had 1 1/2 drinks while I played for 1 1/2 hours. One was brought by my husband, the last drink was brought to me by another good friend who I've known about 2 years. My girlfriend had 1 drink made right in front of her by the bartender and that's it. Within 1/2 hour of arriving, my girlfriend was in the bathroom puking her guts out for about an hour. She almost had to be carried out. Went home and fell asleep on the floor w/o being able to move at all. She had had only 2 drinks the whole night, WITH dinner. She says she wasn't drunk at all when the sickness hit. About 45 minutes after that, I suddenly felt very ill and had to rush to the bathroom, where I evidently puked for quite a while. I recall bits and pieces of that part, but most of my memory from that portion of the night is gone. That part is suspicious to me. I recall about 10 seconds of my husband helping me out to the car, I recall 2 seconds of puking again at the hotel, and that's it. I don't remember him getting me ready for bed or anything else until morning. I awoke at 5am thinking I was having a heart attack and went to the ER. So....yes, lots and lots of puking. NO diarrhea. Some memory loss. We both doubt alcohol poisoning as neither of us were drunk when the puking hit. We both felt woozy and weak for about 2 1/2 days. It was Tuesday before I really ate again (her too.). I can't figure out WHY someone would roofie me or her as we were with our spouses. But the fact that we got so violently ill so fast, and the fact that both of us lost our memory for a couple of hours before falling asleep does make us suspicious. The symptoms are just unclear enough that it could be food poisoning, or it could be a drug. The three drugs I looked up as date rape type drugs have differing symptoms. But I can't imagine anyone giving a woman something that made her violently ill and hoping to benefit from it. That's why I thought I'd see if anyone else in the lifesyle had heard of this or had it happen. Thanks!
