STD Testing - How often are you tested? - The only thing is that the test results are pretty much only good for the day they were done. Unless someone gets tested and then stays in a vault cut off from anyone else until the test results come back there is no way to determine if they are still STI free. Even accounting for incubation periods an STI test is really only good for that MOMENT when your blood was drawn. Bottom line if you're going to swing first be okay with the real and inherent risks and second protect yourself to the extent that you feel okay with those risks. We do our homework about what diseases are out there and then act appropriately. To us it only makes sense to assume that EVERYONE has an STD (most adults are seropositive for HSV type 1 or 2 which are now almost interchangeable as to where they can and will induce a primary infection) and to protect ourselves accordingly. People that are super paranoid about sex cooties prolly shouldn't be swingers. JMO
Not even going to mention how some VERY common STI's don't have a reliable test and thus aren't routinely screened for.

We are all prejudiced in one way or another. Racism, sexism, etc, etc are all forms of prejudice. If you say "Pit Bulls are a dangerous breed.", you are not guilty of racism. You are guilty of prejudice. However, prejudice against a breed of dog is seen as way more acceptable than a person, religion, etc, etc in the social setting. Few, if any will say much if I said that pit bulls, on the whole are a dangerous breed of dogs because we can see from the statistics that they tend to hurt more people than any other breed of dog. However, if I said that black people are a more dangerous breed of people because statistics show them to be more likely to be incarcerated than white people, look out. Why the difference? Prejudice against dogs is seen as more socially acceptable than prejudice against people. All we are doing is compartmentalizing the prejudice so we can make certain ones more acceptable than others. Is prejudice good? Well, ask the insurance companies. They categorize people based on many factors to be good or bad risks. Profiling is a form of prejudice. Whether it is acceptable or not depends on who you target it at.

Why make it so HARD? - pic posting - Pics are a huge part of successfully meeting someone on ANY dating site. It has been proven that your chances are 80% greater. Everyone understands the need to be discrete for some people but there are things you can do to get around that. With that said though, that chance can still worry some people but that is why we have private and custom photo albums. It allows you to pick and choose who you wish to view your photos. So unless you use your real names or a familiar username on your profile, there is no way anyone can relate your profile to your real person. As a second measure of protection, cut off the picture at your heads or blur out your faces. Then as you move along in your contact, send an attachment with just your faces.
There are plenty of ways you can protect yourself yet still allow someone to see your photos. But if you still believe that someone is going to catch you with those slim chances, then maybe your best bet is to not even create profiles on a dating site. Because without pics, you probably won't meet many people.

Also, "but she contracted the STD after he engaged in solo sex with another woman." Interesting, this solo woman could have been a swinger, a woman he picked up at a bar, a church function, or even a prostitute. Not a very clear report on this abusers sexual escapades.
