Mixed Lifestyle Parties - -

Although for those that would be concerned about being outed in the LS, what is the overall concern? I mean if I'm considering this type of party it's not like the bishop or pastor is going to be there, and the likelihood of being seen elsewhere would be slim to none. None the less they are valid concerns and now I have to decide what to do.
We are only speaking for ourselves here ... Discretion - we would prefer to choose to whom we reveal our lifestyle actives with. Even on lifestyle sites and other social media sites, we enjoy a level of anonymity. We control what and to whom we reveal more identifying information (face pictures, names, contact info, etc). Yes, there is a risk in going to lifestyle events and parties. However, most people in the lifestyle believe in mutual assured destruction. If someone tells their vanilla friends, "Hey, I saw Dave & Danna at a swinger party.", their vanilla friends would probably ask, "What were you doing at a swinger party?" In our time in the lifestyle, we have run into three co-workers, two high school classmates, the mother of a child on our child's athletic team, and a woman who we shared a daily commute with on public transportation. So yes, there is a good chance people may run into others from their vanilla lives in the lifefstyle at some time or another.
We agree with most of these comments. Vanilla people have absolutely no reason to keep LS peoples secrets, and I think they’re more likely to gossip about something relatively foreign to them (like a LS party they attended). I’ve had two vanilla coworkers in my office talk about going to The NYer to people watch swingers, and that just made me cringe. I would not trust a vanilla person to keep our secret, and even less if we saw them at a “mixed” type of party where any conclusions could be made. We would rather keep our vanilla friends and our LS friends completely separate for privacy’s sake. No matter how hard vanillas try, most of them cannot wrap their heads around our LS, and just avoiding vanillas while pursuing our LS hobbies is our safest bet. Being fully open to the world about being a swinger is absolutely not something we want in a couples friendship either. We would avoid that as much as we would avoid any chance of vanillas finding out about us. Guilt by association could be just as harmful to our personal and professional lives. As was said above though… your party, your friends. Just make sure all your LS friends are aware of what you’re doing. Some may not care, some could absolutely care if vanillas were there.

Swingular Sucks? No Sexies to Hang With? - REALLY? Ya Gotta Be Kiddin' Me! -

If you see us on Saturday do say hi we don't bite. At least that is our story.
Damn, no biting? And I really like my nipples to be ... ummm ... ahhh .... yeah, OK, No biting then! [em]Emo_49[/em]
This site should be called Utah Swingers Only.
Hey, we can't help it if we're a fun bunch up here in Utah! There's lots of stuff happening in Vegas too! (and Florida? although I know that's no consolation for you AZ folks!)
That's why I joined this site. Last site I checked out was a graveyard. I was a bit shocked when I saw all the parties and people around here in UT. So I agree with Pals, I think there is lots of things to do. We got pretty lucky and got contacted by a great couple, and they've been extremely nice about letting us slowly ease in the LS. We have enjoyed time with them, and hope to check out a few of these meet and greets, etc, after the holidays. Hopefully we can run into some other couples that are as down to Earth as the two we've met with. My wife and I are still pretty new, but it's been fun so far.
It's good to find the right couple to start with! And there really is lots to do, and lots of people to meet. That's really been the biggest difficulty for us -- with family constraints it's difficult to find the time to have all the fun we'd like to have! ;)
What I have actually received from the Utah members is the rude, attacking tear you down comments. Not what we in Arizona consider a "FUN BUNCH"
Well you are very lucky you live in AZ, so you don't have to deal with us rude Utah assholes, you are very blessed!

Playing with \"swingers\" vs \"nonswingers\" - - We prefer not to mix the two sides of our life up! That is, we keep to ourselves that we are swingers with everyone except other swingers. Isn\'t that what \"Discreet\" means? We have only had one couple approach us at a \"non-swinger\" social function and talk to us like we should be getting together with them - all while in front of our real-life friends. When this thoughtless couple left our table, the other 3 couples there asked what that was all about. We actually ignored the question and went right on enjoying our evening -- without any real trouble. We always talk to each other in private when we are out at a night club and wonder between ourselves how this or that person might be in bed -- but we never act on those impulses. It is our belief that most people would be shocked, but not necessarily in awe about our swinging behavior. Therefore, we do not ask non-swingers to play with us. Most of the other responses here are right on target. Those that do not have experience with swinging are not really prepared to handle the social/sexual interactions between 3 or 4 people -- hell, most swingers we know (including us) don\'t do a very good job of handling it! There certainly seem to be alot of very hot swingers to choose from at this website, we wonder why you would have to go outside to find what you are looking for?

Just curious are we the only ones? - Just curious are we the only ones? -
Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that there are 3,000 couples in Utah who are actively interested in swinging. (Again, I have SERIOUS doubts that the number is that high, based on data I've collected from Swingular... but let's roll with it)... There are 886,000 couples in Utah, which means there's a 0.33% chance (1 in 300) that the couple you're looking at are swingers. However, if the number of ACTIVE swinging couples in Utah is closer to 1,000 (far more likely), the odds go down to 0.11% (1 in 1,000). This is probably a more realistic picture of your odds when you try to pick up a random couple in the wild.
A caveat of this analysis is that it assumes a uniform distribution of swingers over the population of Utah. My guess is that this isn't the case but instead the density of swingers aligns with the density of more liberal thinkers. The net result is that it would put more swingers in the more densely populated areas with the highest density in SLC. That could easily swing the odds from 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 100. At least for those of us in SLC. For the poor suckers not SLC it could go the other way. :) That said, yes, I feel lucky enough to gamble basically nothing on 1 in 1,000 odds. ;)

Potential Swingers Article(s) or Television Series - - I'm with a large national media outlet that produces both written and video content on a variety of subjects. We've thrown around the idea of an article, series of articles, or television production about the swinger lifestyle, particularly in the Salt Lake area. Singles (male and female) and couples that are currently in the swinger lifestyle. People from all walks of life, ethnicities, backgrounds, body types. We'd like to explore why people are attracted to the lifestyle, both from a couples and singles perspective. What keeps them in the lifestyle? Has it helped or hurt their relationships? we want to get their stories about the best and worst experiences they've had, and maybe most importantly, what the process of meeting someone is like, from initial conversation to consummating a sexual act. We want to know about different lifestyle fetishes, parties, and relationships. While entering a project, we don't like to go in with the goal of presenting anything in a particular light, but painting the lifestyle in the proper positive manner. If you are interested in sharing your stories, experiences, parties, or want to give access to your relationships, we'd love to talk to you. Please send a direct message with a bit about yourself or yourselves. We can respect your desire for anonymity, but prefer those that are willing to share their names and faces (although not a requirement).

Utah? - - Hmm.. anything beside swingers? Grocery stores that can't sell wine or liquor, lots of people that support Bush, mini-van drivers bearing testimonies in the left lane on most freeways, a few clubs and bars with last calls around 1-am, hi poser to swinger ratio, no anti-smoking laws, no off premise clubs, no on premise clubs, KSL swing reports, lots of people having sex in really odd underwear, Church controlled politics, less than 1 hour from Vegas or Denver via plane, and totally hot blondes with weekend fun temple recommends!!! But there are truly some fun LS parties, sexy bods, and the most amazing outdoors in the USA! Oh, and awesome skiing on Sunday cause everyone is in church repenting to their Bishop. ;-)

swingers resort - - Sea Mountain landed in Desert Hot springs after Dewie lost his place in Malibu CA. He brought the Hollywood vibe with him when he took over the new place & he sunk a ton of money into it. He works hard to keep everything high end, from the Egyptian cotton linens to the mineral water hot tub. Its a nice place. It tends to be high energy & It's normally packed. I often stay at a German spa that is a few blocks away & just get day passes to sea mountain when they are full. The clientele is a little mixed, but it's mostly pretty people & there is normally a lot of action there. Food in the area is hit & miss. My favorite reasonably priced restaurant is a place called Fisherman's in Palm Springs. The area gets kind of sketchy at night. I've had some run ins with crack heads when I've gone for supplies late in the evening. Sea Mountain itself is completely safe, but I would plan to stock up on supplies during the day. Also, the AM/PM station on Gene Autry Trail doesn't take credit cards after dark, so plan your gas around that as well.

To Bi or not to Bi. - - Society has imposed a morality code on most of us at one time or another be it through religion or laws. Lets admit it we are animals and although we may not act that way often, sex is one of the most basic animal instincts. Acting on those urges if you are a swinger means you can have sex with others and not fall into the societal guilt and jealousy others may feel. When we meet new swingers this seems to be one of the most difficult things to overcome. We do not judge those who are bi no matter whether they are male or female. We are just not into it. She will kiss and fondle breast but its for show not enjoyment. He does mind if men touch because of proximity but he has no desire to be with another man sexually. We do not judge others who do and we have play friends where both male and female are bi and it does not scare us. One last comment about labels. If someone is bi it does not mean they are gay or homosexual or lesbian unless they choose to be. Everyone should be able to choose their own label for their sexuality and who fucking cares what someone else says.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Yep! We have seen couples dicorce.
