Disabled Swingers - - "Disabled" is one of those heavily loaded but so vague it's actually meaningless words that our pop culture loves so much. This is a subject I am profounding involved in both personally and professionally. For example, did you know that alcoholism can be a disabling disease under federal regulations, and that alcoholics are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act just like a child with Cerebral Palsy or a quadriplegic adult trauma survivor in a motorized wheelchair? That's a pretty wide range of conditions and causation! Woudn't you agree? I am a disabled veteran. A huge percentage of former NFL football players and professional fighters have "disabilities." Some CURRENT players do, too! I have a quadriplegic friend who has climbed Mt. Everest. I know an Army Sargeant who is serving in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan after losing both of his legs. And I know alcoholics whom I wouldn't trust to take out the trash. So this all seems very subjective, doesn't it? That's because it is! You cannot put people with disabilities in a box any more than you can people without disabilities. Therefore, it is equally impossible to know in advance whether or not you would be sexually attracted to them. You will have to meet them, get to know them a bit, and see for yourself. But make no mistake: "disabled" does NOT automatically apply to sex! One of the most profound Abilities of people with disAbilities, is the ability to adapt and improvise to compensate for their abnormalities. And some disabilities (like bipolar disorder, autism, etc.) are actually the OVER-abundance of things that normal people have and/or experience in smaller doses or less frequently. I'm sure you've all heard of the medical condition "Priapism" by now. This "something wrong with you" is when the male penis remains erect no matter what...the permanent boner. This condition can be painful, embarassing, highly inconvenient, and a helluva lot of fun for awhile! But to the person toting that thing around all the time, it becomes a disability. Get the idea?

Comfort level of casual vs relationships? - -
We are still fairly new to this whole lifestyle shindig; just under a year. Trying to figure what aspects we like, don’t like and are just meh. I’m curious though, when it comes to forming emotional connections with other people how open are you to the idea? If it’s a scale of 1 - 10. One being completely casual, “what was your name again” sex and two being “I deeply love you and want you to come live with me and my other two wives” sort of deal... where do you fall? ::: For us we are discovering that we prefer the more connective experiences and don’t shy away from words like “love” or “relationship”. But we also love just super casual fun experiences. All of it entirely contingent on the people involved. So not quite true swingers but also not quite true poly. Trying to see how common or uncommon that is.
Oh man if two is come live with me and my two other wives I can't imagine what 10 is ;). For us we definitely don't need "feelings" involved but I do want to have some sort of connection with the other people. I dont think I could do a wham bam thank you ma'am type of situation. That being said we have played on the first meeting so idk that probably makes me a hypocrite 🤷‍♀️

Ugly people and swinging - - Thank you SHEKKI..for clarifying the why's of your forum posting. However...even as a "last straw" knee-jerk reaction to some pushy couple that you perceived being perhaps a little obnoxious and assertive (not to mention fat, old and ugly), your approach was...well...reproachable. Bringing an otherwise personal issue to the public eye, and targeting just one demographic group of swingers based on a narrow set of physical attributes: Totally uncool dude! In actuality, if it was indeed pushiness that tossed that proverbial last straw, and not the fact they were ugly...it was more of a personality turn-off than a physical one, don't ya think? ~J~

What are swingers really looking for ?Are they looking for frien - Has the happen to you. - mmmmmm yeah it could be cool. point do i really care i say what I want ill run on and on and on dont like it dont read it

Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? -

A Yugo and 74 AMC Pacer.
A Yugo and a Pacer? Sweet! I'm hoping to trade up to a 70 Gremlin. Just seems like a lot of car.
That ones next on our list, lime green of course ;)

Policing Ourselves - Can it be done? - Oleman, I'm going to disagree with you. I speed now and then. I don't always wear my seatbelt (law here). I might even steal a grape from the supermarket when doing my grocery shopping. But when it comes to other people, respecting them, respecting their boundaries, I am very attentive to the rules, spoken and unspoken. I have been violated. I would never turn around and treat another in a way that I know is harmful or degrading. I would think it is very reasonable to assume that people act like decent human beings. Swingers or not.. Ali

Just for shits and giggles? - Why are you in the lifestyle? - To be honest, I used to be one of those narrow-minded people who thought those in open marriages, swingers, etc. were just people who didn't really love their partner or couldn't "handle" a committed relationship/marriage. Wife and I then discussed the possibility a few years back, my reasoning being that before her, I really hadn't been with many women, and the ones I had been with was more a one time or several times thing, so my experiences were limited, and now that I had "learned what I was doing" a little, my mind was curious on if it was just that my wife loves me and was attracted to me, or if I could please other women. We decided after discussions to try it out. We met up with a couple that was more experienced, thrilling, and the whole experience was a roller coaster ride. Years later, while watching a particular episode of "House, M.D." that deals with a couple who is either in an open marriage or swingers (can't recall), listening to the medical staff characters assassinate the idea of nonmonogamy the way I used to with short-sighted, unfair logic, it made me reflect on how much our views on something can do a 180 when we give it a fair shot. From this, I started wondering things, one of them being whether I actually "knew" if I was straight or not, or just assumed through society and toxic masculinity. I decided that the only way to know would be to open myself up to the idea of trying it and seeing what happened. Through that, I found out that I am at least bi-curious. I've had one sexual experience with another man, and it was both pleasurable and memorable. Haven't had much opportunity outside of that yet to expand and explore further. I guess what I'm saying is we started this wanting to push our perceptions of things and find out what the reality beneath them was, and through that I have enjoyed becoming open to all sorts of new possibilities I never would've imagined. I can't wait to see what the world throws me next to test what I think I know. Thanks all who made it through the novel, I know I rambled a bit. Not a lot of safe spaces to discuss things of this nature out there.
