Political Forum - POLL: Should we bring it into the rotation? - I think its quite cool that a rather large group of people find relatively common interests about sexual openness, sexual play, sexual fantasy etc... it's really cool that we share such an uncommon attitude about sex and yet we have such diverse opinions about Politics (and Religion) etc. Fascinating.
Years ago before I knew anything about or anyone involved in swinging I would have guessed that there would have been a more common social thread among swingers but as was mentioned before, its probably a pretty good cross section... So, it seems to me that if we are trying to connect at a fun playful sexual level the last thing we would want to do is find ways to disagree and reasons to disconnect from people by having a special "top five" forum category that is one of the 2 most divisive topics on the planet. It's tough enough to find couples that we connect with at enough levels to be play-friends.
So, I'd say, there are plenty of other places to fight about politics (or religion), we don't need it here and since you are asking for opinions here's mine: If you leave it in there will be some well thought out points made but it will be a source of argument, anger, and name calling... we've seen it before, just like anywhere else, people get ugly here too. If you take it out only a few will miss it. There are other places, plenty of them, to debate the un-win-able debates.

Lifestyle after Death - What would you do? - If there were "TRUE" friends you damn right they would accept you if god forbid something happened to your wife/husband. We have a friend his wife died after having gastric bypass surgery. We all went to the funeral talk about solidarty but it was there for him,her family and their children. They were very strongly in the lifestyle and he is totally accepted by all us even if we don't chose to take a single man into our bedroom he was our friend when Christine was alive and he still is. We all get together about once a month have dinner go to a club just generally enjoy the company,and when I say we I speak about 2/3 of a yahoo group. I have come to find that friends within the lifestyle stick by you no matter what more so then friends who have known you long term. What is is with local couples? - Anyone else seem to have the problem with couples local to where you live NOT wanting to meet? - I think people who do not reply are simlarly afraid about pictures. THey are afraid that locals will recognize them. We are in a very small town where we have been asked upon returning from a social at 3 or 4 in the morning what was wrong.... Then it goes thru the 2 closest neighbors to the south living east and west of each other. Then it jumps west several houses and then North across the street and back east again. Within one day. 7 families now know that we got in at 4am and there is speculation as to why. The neighbor across the street, as I picked up my mail one afternoon, at the bottom of my driveway, starts telling me about a couple, that I do not know from the other side of town, about them fighting and how they poor mouth and then they were eating steak...... Do I care ... why should I, but in this town everyone knows everyone elses business.... But regardless of the size of the town people are afraid that someone will find out....<shishhhhhh> <don't let anyone here> that they are swingers and God will curse them.... You know what they say about small towns and Baptist.... They see everything, hear everything that happens and tell everyone about everything ...EXCEPT that they recognize no one in the liquor store.. or local whore house.
Vegas News report on swing clubs/house parties - Must be an election year - Tonight here in Vegas, KVBC did a report about swingers clubs here in Vegas. They snuck in hidden camera and recorded shots of the inside of one of the houses. There are about 4 different 'homes' that hold parties on weekends. These homes are quite large, well over 2500 sq/ft. Each has their own process for gaining admission and different fees. But they are held as private house parties not clubs and the fees are kept to a minumum to just cover operating cost not for profit.
They did not mention the businesses here in town that operate for profit.
It doesnt help that the prime one they hit with this report is about two blocks from the main Mormon church here in town. Here is a link to the report.
