Viewers = ratings = being attractive to potential advertisers and being able to charge more per second for advertising = more profit. It has nothing to do about reality. That is why the story was so poorly researched and produced. It was not an attempt at doing a real story but rather to do something all the other channels aren't. The truth is far less interesting then the story they created about how swingers lure unsuspecting faithful Mormon men into a seedy underworld of sex and decption, leaving victims of their poor innocent wife and kids.
I said it before, they went into this having already decided what the story was going to be before they even put film in the camera, all they needed was a few juicy quotes to take out of context to support the story they had already written in a production meeting months ago. This is why posts that would be pro-lifestyle are being moderated off their message board: they do not support the story they are trying to present. Everybody loves a scandal, especially those with nothing better to do then judge others to make themselves feel better about their miserable, lonely, boring little lives.

You are very bold to think you alone define swinging and what the site is. This site is a place for swingers to meet on whatever level they choose. Finding people to have sex with is one of the goals, yes. Though sex will no always happen in all meetings. One of the benefits of a meeting that doesn't "click" sexually, is friendship. So, never think you can define swinging for everyone. It's different for all of us. Libertines are free of the confines of moralism, dogma or ethics. There is no definition to this. To define it, is to cheapen it. Sex does not have to result from you encounters with people. It is a benefit of a chance meeting with a couple you and your partner (if that applies), have a sexual attraction to. You and I both know that that is not always the case. We find that making friends first, gives us our desired result.

Has swinging changed? - - I've been trying to quantify the changes we're seeing but it's a little hard to pin down. For one thing, there seem to be quite a few people sticking their heads in and quickly retreating. Perhaps it's the ease of entry that allows "lookie Lous" to sort of check things out without really risking actually MEETING someone. LOL Another thing we've noticed is that there seem to be more people treating swinging as simply another way to hook up for NSA sex. I mean I know at it's core that's what swinging is but it's almost become a wham, bam, thank you ma'am culture rather than the sensuality of sharing your body with a caring generous lover. Foreplay almost seems to have become perfunctory (if it happens at all) and there's more of a "down and dirty by nine thirty" attitude than there used to be. It's almost a hit it and quit it or get in, get out, go home culture now. Many people just seem to be in such a hurry to fuck that they don't really want to take any time to get to know each other a little first. Maybe I'm seeing things but it just seems like it's changed a lot since we started swinging. I was talking to some people on another site and one guy postulated that the changes were due to the scene being so diluted by people with varied interests that there just aren't a lot of "pure" swingers anymore. There are two versions of a friend collector in our opinion.
Version one: You receive or make a friend request with a short introduction. The friend request is accepted and that’s the last you hear from that person.
Version two: You receive a friend request that develops into a week or two of conversation, pictures exchanged. and multiple attempts to arrange a meeting are made and they still flack on you. Eventually you never hear from them again but they don’t delete your friendships on the website.
In our opinion these are the true definitions of a friend collector.
