New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - My husband already posted on this topic a while back, but I’m now adding my opinion.
In addition to state law hurdles and liquor licensing nightmare laws, each city has difficult sexually oriented business licensing requirements and ordinances. Yes, a nieve person will think that a swingers club is not a sexually oriented business, but city leaders and members of the public will make a big push to ensure a swingers club fits within the ordinance definitions. The licensing process is very public and anyone involved in the licensing will have a lot of exposure. Licensing applications often require background checks, names, business site visits and walkthroughs, and ongoing mandatory surveys after the business opens. Publicity and continued legal battles with the state and city scare couples away.
Research Plato’s a Short-lived swingers club in NYC that was briefly open. During its existence it was continually challenged, closed, reopened, raided, and ultimately put out of business. If NYC ensures Plato's went out of business how is a swingers club in Utah going to fare?

Where to go, what to do. - Non club activities - Is now a good time to bring up the wrist bands, distinctive rings,and necklaces of christmas past???? Sort of joking however the idea of non-club get meets has allot of potential, look at the summer campout for instance and once there was a bowling party in a closed venue that was a blast, we went to a swingers super bowl party that was awesome, Lava Hot Springs Takeover was too much fun so we definitely think there is room for different social activities. Pineapple Stickers - pineapple sticker = swingers? - Urban legend. Same with black rings. Are there swingers who have pineapple stickers (or tattoos) and wear black rings? Sure, but most swingers prefer to keep their little hobby a bit more discreet and I GUARANTEE that if pineapples and/or black rings were anything close to a universal sign/signal that someone was a swinger that word would quickly get out (probably within HOURS on the internet) and most swingers would stop doing it so they wouldn't be 'outed' by a society that still very much disapproves of consensual recreational sex with people other than your partner.
Here's a quick anecdote to prove my point. We went to a lifestyle resort hotel takeover in San Diego a number of years ago. The entire property was closed to anyone who didn't have an official wristband. It took all of about 2 hours for the entire resort staff to figure out what the wristbands meant and until the next day for everyone at nearby businesses and hotels to figure it out. People at the takeover quickly noticed that people at nearby stores and restaurants were actively looking for the wristbands and would look and point it out to others. Most of the attendees quickly started slipping off their wristbands or hiding them under watches or scrunchies and such. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1. As it's been said earlier in this thread, most single guys are not swingers/lifestylers. They are crudely put , just looking for some ass!" When meeting a single guy and you're having a conversation about the lifestyle ask him if he'd have his girlfriend or wife par take in the activities. I have found that many on average would not. This leads me into my second point.
2. There is a certain lack of respect on the side of the single guy. I recently went to a swing club and you could always tell the difference between the single guys that were in the lifestyle for real and the ones that were just there for a good lay. That disturbs me greatly when I see it. Most single guys don't get what it's all about and they come off with this smug, arrogant, vibrato as if to say "Sure dude, I'll fuck your wife/girlfriend since you can't please her. You're just not enough man for here. Let me show you how it's done!" Oh give me a break!
Now there are some guys out there that get it and if they had a significant other he'd be in the lifestyle with her. True some guys are just losers but I think that we can all agree that this lifestyle is not for everyone and finding that partner or special someone to enjoy it with you can be a little difficult. Just like it's difficult sometimes find people that are already in the lifestyle to meet for a fun evening.
So, I'll end this with saying that couples that are leary of single guys have every right to be. However, I don't think you should lump them all together and just write them off. It's a case by case bases.;)
