We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - One thing we have that works pretty well is, certain phrases or a look that if one of us isn't too excited about proceeding further or theres something wrong, all we need to do is say it and then your spouse knows and things slow down. Travel and first time - - I completely understand how she feels. And just for what it's worth, you two are at an age where a lot of couples head for divorce court anyway. There's no sense in driving in that direction if you don't have to. So, in my opinion, if you communicate really well, and are just looking for a little bedroom spice once in a while, going where you're unlikely to build a relationship isn't a bad idea. If you read my husbands first post, he did give you a on-topic, cordial and legitimate answer to the question you posed. You chose to be offended when he told you that regardless of what you think, people are going to talk about what they want to.
I was merely stating that you complain about arguments errupting within the forums when you are promoting it yourself. It does not make much sense to me. If you are unhappy with a topic why not start your own thread pertaining to what you wish to discuss? There are just as many people that would love to discuss various subjects pertaining to sex as there are who would like to talk about something ...else.
I for one, do not enjoy talking about sex all the time or war and death all the time. So I pick and chose which topic I want to comment on. It does not bother me to surf through many topics as I like to have a variety to chose from. If this site was about only one subject or the other, it would be very boring. I rather enjoy reading most of the posts wether they be about sex or not. It is entertaining for me.
I am not here to start an argument with you or anyone else. I was just posting my thoughts on the topic... Nothing more, nothing less. There's no need to get personal with me.

Really? Only a 0.4% increase over straight..." That's NOT a comparatively high risk.
In "... the over-45 population, they found 55 percent of the diagnoses for chlamydia and gonorrhea occurred in swingers, versus 31 percent in gay men" - This is meaningless without more data, such as the comparative size of the populations.
" The study authors hypothesize ...." Yeah, a lot of hypothesis and little to back it up. The only worthwhile line in this article is "...researchers recommend swingers be tested for common infections like chlamydia and gonorrhea regularly and practice safe sex."
