It usually took about half a day for word to leak out, first among hotel employees and then later the general public, that swingers were around the area and that they could be identified by their wristbands. Once we met(M&S) they admitted that they never really thought we would meet face to face but after returning from europe we had to travel through Richmond Virgina and we figured what the hell lets look them up so we did and had one hell of a time with them now here is the "divine part". Another cpl (B&S) we had met who contacted us while in Germany (they were traveling through europe) and we manged to meet play and have some fun guess where they are from? Yep you guessed it ,Richmond Virgina! While spending time with the first cpl (M&S) we contacted the other cpl (B&S) they invited us to a party but said "our friends could not come along until they had met them first" so, we did not go to thier party but we did put these two cpls in contact with one another guess what they are now the best of friends and go to each others parties now! OK LETS BE HONEST - - We got into the lifestyle because my wife was bi but didn't want to admit it to herself. Raised Catholic and it would be a mortal sin?????? All she had to do was see a woman naked and she got totally wet... I was aware of this for years but she insisted not.. We started going to a club to the socials and she loosened up slowly. At some point one of the women took her to her room and they got it on.. Then she went with another women and got it on another time... I didn't care that I wasn't there because it was for her not for me anyway. So now we are in the lifestyle at her whim... It was never about me in the first place... The lifestyle has made her more open to herself and freer, more able to talk about sexual things. In the 9 or so years that we've been in the lifestyle I learned that while many times men get their wives into the lifestyle it is the wives that keep them in the lifestyle. Further, women completely control the lifestyle. It's kind of like the old expression; "If a man says he's boss at home, I wonder what else he lies about". The lifestyle is much like that. From discussions with other swingers I find that just a many wives get their husbands involved in the lifestyle as mwn do. I don't know about other places like UT or CO or TX but in NC, SC, VA, and many in FL the women rule the lifestyle and I wouldn't have it any other way. The vent! - Judgements, I'm so tired of them. - On judgments: My wife and I were in the lifestyle for many years. She died 5 years ago of cancer and was the love of my life. It has been very hard for me as we were married for 34 years. Many of our friends were swingers because, as others have found, those not involved in the lifestyle often have negative judgmental attitudes. We made many friends. After she died I was supported by my friends but I was no longer invited to parties. For a while that was fine because I wasn't ready. But since I've tried to renew my lifestyle activities, I've found that I am no longer welcome. Why? Because I'm a single male. Forget that my wife and I were involved in the lifestyle up in Seattle, forget the many times we hosted parties at our house, my wife's death made me a pariah to other swingers. I really do not understand this. I'm still the same person. I'm discrete, clean, disease and drug free, I'm not pushy and no always means no. OUCH - Anyone caught swinging bu family or friends? - Have to say it happens quite frequently with us...comes from knowing so many folks, I guess. I tend to run into friends of my kids..at meet and greet locations..as well as a relative or two of my own...a nephew that frequents 48...A couple of coworkers are on this site... Tif has run into former bosses..co workers...a few have turned out to be swingers! Most recently, one of her son's girlfriends at a swingers birthday party...oops...
