We run a local discord group for Utah for swingers its not as robust for profiles and things but it makes the chats easy
Analog - Fun 1971 Swinger magazine - Wow that would take a lot of effort. Imaging getting your pictures taken and waiting a week while the toll of film is getting developed at the local pharmacy, writing a full bio by hand and mailing it off..
We used to just go to the local gay bar and meet other swingers.
Where Should we go? - Have flight vouchers, where is a good swinger spot? - We've been to Hedo in Jamaica, Desire in Cancun, Caliente Caribe (formerly Eden Bay) in the Dominican Republic and the Swingers Cruise - all destinations multiple times.
Our experience says it doesn't matter where you go as much as who you go with. Since there is never a large contingency going from Utah, we always try to book when there is a takeover by a group.
Every time we have been adopted as soon as we got there just as if we had always been part of their group. We also usually go the week of Halloween. It's always a nasty celebration and it's at the very end of hurricane season. We've come close but have never had trouble with the weather yet.
I think Desire in Cancun is the easiest resort to push the rules to the limit. Hedo II in Jamaica would be second. The former Hedo III in Jamaica was a bit more restrictive. Caliente Caribe has recently become lifestyle friendly after Eden Bay was purchased by Caliente Resorts. Before, they were just a nudist resort. The swingers cruises allow nudity on the pool decks but you have to be dressed anywhere else on the boat with the exception of the playroom which is on one of the lower decks. Also, you usually have to remain dressed on the day the boat is port until that evening when the boat sails. Some ports are exceptions when the boat is anchored far enough away and they take you to shore on tenders.
If you like to take pictures of you and your partner on vacation, Desire is the most friendly. Hedo really frowns on pictures even if they are of you or someone in your group with their permission. We have managed however, to accumulate thousands of digital shots from all the resorts combined over the last few years.
We have had a blast at each resort/cruise and will continue to go back. But, we've found that it's all what you make it.
green door/red rooster - - We live in Las Vegas and have yet to go to any of them :( The main reason being that we use public transportation and only the Green Door is accessible by bus. The nice thing about the Green Door though is that they do free tours. Going on a Cruise - Not sure what to expect - Post your cruise date and ship to see if you match dates with other like minded peeps. Where your black rings and maybe throw an inside down pineapple shirt in your luggage. But mostly if you go to the bars swingers give off a certain vibe and if you feel that initiate a conversation. We have been on numerous all inclusive vacations and have found other like minded people. Happy hunting
2007 Tribute to the Troops - Post your media here :-) - TR was just trying to make a tribute to our troops, something posistive. Whether ppl agree or disagree with them being there, I am with Don.....THEY ARE THERE either way!!! I do believe that this site isn't the place to be debating that point. In either case, there are fellow swingers on this site that are military couples/ppl so what is so wrong with showing some tribute and thanks to them. Why turn it into a negative battle........Thanks TR for starting a thread and showing some thanks and appreciation for those serving our country. Ignore those that turn it into negativity. On Premise Swingers Club - SLC - I have attended lifestyle clubs in Vegas and Phoenix Arizona. Red Rooster once had trouble with the law over the building permits. The city made it tough on them but Mike and Chris got through the permit recertification. They also were able to prove that they accepted Donations at the door not a fee. And did offer food and had no serving Alcohol of their control. It was BYOA.
In Phoenix Guys and Dolls kept the police out of their hair by creating a compound for vehicles. When the cops were there the gates would close and search warrents were needed. Thus just cause was a requirement. Also asked for Donations, had food serving.
I recommend if you plan to start a club. Go to other cities and with contact to the establishment to talk to their attorney ask for help in educating how their system works. That would go a long way. Choose a good industrial area to organize and set up operations. Maybe a closed hotel could be the location, like Edgewater West in Oakland California.
