Observations from the other side of the room - How to enjoy the lifestyle as a single male - I am not the expert, but I believe that the amount of time that I have been in the lifestyle and the friends I have made gives me some sense of how to have the best time I have debated whether to write this but I think that those single men who read will benefit. Swinger cruise - YOLO cruise on Carnival Legend (April 26th) - BEACHWITHUS We know exactly how you feel. Funny how rules begin to change after people have paid their money. We had friends that went on the Nudist Cruise on the same ship, the Carnival Legend, a couple of years ago. They said you could be nude anywhere except the main dining room. And as soon as the ship left the various ports you could be nude again...meaning nudity was allowed every evening. Swinging ,Or cheating? - - Swinging is having sex with people who are not your legal spouses. By definition, having sex with someone who is not your legal spouse is cheating. Therefore all swingers are cheaters, whether or not the spouse knows it. Now, throw that out the window, and label everyone who swings, as cheaters, but ONLY if their spouse does not participate. Don\'t bother to find out if he or she knows, approves, or even suggested it themselves. Having said that, I am still totally amazed that there are so many narrow-minded folks in this lifestyle. Yes, I completely agree that EVERYONE should know what is going on. I completely DISAGREE that those who play without their spouse\'s participation are automatically defiend as cheaters. I cannot speak for anyone else, but the fact remains, I don\'t do a thing without my spouse knowing about it. That includes participation in video chat (which she comes to very frequently, just ask anyone who is a regular), e-mailing or chatting with others, meeting, hanging out, or even adult play. If people bothered to get to know me, they would know that. But they knee-jerk and completely eliminate great people like me from their lives, just because they didn\'t bother to look before their leap to label. If they want to shut me out because I am married and my wife doesn\'t participate, they should go ahead and exercise their right to do so. It doesn\'t bother me a bit. WHY????? - - 1. I have seen a lot of talk here about grammar and correct spelling. How the people that don't have that down pack other's more educated would not listen to or spend the time on reading their post because it means they don't or didn't have the right schooling.... no not the right schooling but their votes sure count. 2. I've seen people calling other fellow swingers that share the same lifestyle call others redneck's, especially if they are from the South. Guess what they also vote. 3. I see a lot of talk about America being a racist country for hundreds of years, yes that is true and we all know that. Finally people have been opening their eyes to see that America is a melting pot and IF MOST of us look at our ancestry, we might have a little bit of Indian, Spanish, African, Irish, Dutch, German and so on. I know, I did it, born and raised in the small Island of Puerto Rico with a grandfather that is Dutch(his fathers side) and German(his mom's side) and a grandmother that is an Islander Indian(dad's side) and Spainard(mom side) mix. They got married in New Jersy in 1943, can you imagine the racism they went through, I can because I heard the stories out of their own mouths. All races that are US citizens also vote. 4. We are putting people down for the things mentioned above. People that have much more education that what I have or others have. One way or another isn't all of the above a form of discrimination? no am not pulling the racial or discrimination card because am spanish... I don't give a rats ass about that.... Friend collectors or swingers - - My opinion, which hasn't changed in ages, is this, and I'm not chastising anyone, just offering my 2 cents. One of the recurring and biggest problem that swingers face is that they decide what they personally like, or want, and then assume everyone else should choose the same path or they don't understand why how everyone else doesn't feel the same way they do. I've read the forum posts for years and the same questions recirculate on a regular basis. "Why don't people want to be the type of swingers we are?" "We don't want friends, we just want to have sex." "We don't necessarily want to have sex until we are friends." "We really only want friends but rarely play." All valid forms of the lifestyle and perfectly acceptable to different people. The lifestyle can take work. It typically isn't easy and will take some time and effort to achieve your lifestyle goals. Sure it's helpful to post your desires in your profile but I'm sure people read those only rarely, or maybe they are drunk searching, or maybe they can't read. :) There are all types. Try not to get frustrated because someone else isn't following you lead. Be patient. Within one or two convos you should be expressing your goals and figuring out the goals of the people you are trying to get to know. Get a system that weeds out the people you are't interested in, something that works for you. You will get better with time and hopefully someday what you are looking for will be much easier to find.
