Divorce rates - How do we compare - My husband and I began swinging together after a month of dating after I, the wife, suggested it and have now been happily married for over 3 years and together almost 4. Doesn't always have to be a pushy husband or a doomed marriage. How about 2 people who love sex and watching their SO be pleased by others? Good communication and a healthy amount of trust and security help as well I suppose. But giving a negative stigma to Swingers that our marriages are doomed seems silly. Ft Myers, FL - HELP!!! - Craigslist is local down there. MAGNETIC is right, after being laid off after 7+ years at my old job due to the economy, it was very difficult to find a new FULL time job that paid anything more than $8 an hour. I just moved AWAY from Fort Myers in June due to the unemployment rate, it's a tourist spot. I hope you have a job lined up...it's tough down there however it is beautiful in areas and the beach is nice (just don't go during spring break LOL). Texas is on our list but it will be awhile before we get there, we are starting in Napa going north to BC area then east to Maine for fall colors then down to Florida for fantasy fest, Mardi Gras in Febuary then toward Texas :) Lets stay in touch!

Ahhh yes, We are in our 30's we have been married for almost 20 years, our family is grown and off to college. We have been business owners since we were in our teens, we have just been lucky enough to be in the right business' We own a couple business' down here and make enough that they will allow us to get out and travel while our manager runs the place :)

Tired of Politics and Religion! - - Strange - was this forum not here when those that object to it joined? Having been on this site for a long time (first as MelbCpl and now as Swingtide) as far as I can remember it has always had one area that was open to discussion of things like religion and politics. Sometimes we read them and sometimes we ignore them - choice is good. At least to us Swingular is not just a "sex site" but a swinging lifestyle site and for some of us that is more than how many notches you put on your bed during the last party. If anyone wants the other topics to show up more in opening page than make more input into the other areas of the forum. Start new topics in other areas and work to keep them going.
Everyone has their own view of what swinging is all about and that is good - I'd hate to think we had to pass some checklist of qualifications to consider ourselves swingers. The site has room for all types of discussion so enjoy the areas you like and avoid the ones you don't like - not too far off from how most of us deal with what couple we want to be with! Personal choice and allowing other the same freedom of choice seems to fit the idea of the lifestyle :-)
