Every now and then a post will pop up on here talking about meeting a couple outside the lifestyle and wanting to ask "Are you swingers?"
Last year my family and I moved up to Spokane Washington and once we got settled in got to know our neighbors. Turned out the couple next door was near our age and had a daughter close to our sons age, so instant parental friendship since our little ones hit it off.
After a while of getting to know them we became better friends and that question started to kind of creep up in my mind. One sunday looking through a swinger website I happend across a couple who lived in our town, about our age similar intrests and they looked vaguely fimiliar. it wasn't till I got further into their photo albums that I recognized the tattoo on the male half of our neighbors upper arm.
I started laughing and called out to my wife "you'll never believe this!" I kept laughing and told her "I knew there was another reason we got along so well."
Turned out that we weren't what they normally look for in fuck buddies but the friendship we had built up more then made up for the differences. So its been a year and occassionally we still get together for fun time. Its nice to be able to go over to each others houses on the premise of a sleep over and just wait for the little ones to tire themselves out. Then tire ourselves out.

Are you still interested! - Dynamics amoung swingers - I wouldnt say the dynamics of our friendships changes so we arent interested in swinging any longer with friends we have made, maybe just we go through stages where we dont want to share each other for awhile, or we dont feel as playful as we do other times. Like some of you, I am sure, life just gets busy and there are better things to do and worry about. We have had friends in this lifestyle that we have had for quite sometime and we havent lost interest in them in that sexual way at all......sometimes we just like to hang out with them and call it good. I’m guessing the risk-benefit decision changes before and after enduring an STD/STI. I’m guessing most of us would be more risk averse after being infected, but that might depend on the kind and duration of infection. Bacterial infections are seemingly easier to treat (antibiotics vs antivirals).
Molliscum is reported to be self-limiting and can take between 6 months to 4 years to clear! Yikes!
Discretion a Must?!? - Let us know - I've always wondered why people won't post face pics on sites like this.. If your boss minister, cousin, neighbor sees you they are there for the same reason. If you are worried that there is someone that is not a friend might do with pics found on a site like this restrict the viewing of them. I'd love for a neighbor or "city official" recognize me.... I've got nothing they can hurt me with but they could be hurt if they were nasty.. The feeling we've gotten from chatting privately with people here is that a good percentage of swingers in Utah are indeed LDS, whether active or inactive. Appears too a good number are former LDS members cutting loose. With no judgement or disrespect to the LDS reading this, I find it fascinating.
