How did you start the lifestyle? - - I started in college ... with a swinger couple who generously invited me into their relationship. It went off and on over the period of about a year. Then, I fell in love with a woman who was NOT into swinging ... and then another one after that. A family later, I am divorced and still long for the sexual freedom and excitement I had been introduced to WAY back when by those very warm swingers. (:-)

Speed dating swinging style - - So the reason we (KOIGIRL) and I hosted it was we were tired of the meet and greets where everyone had their cliques. Also the parties we went to were not swinger parties. Everyone stood around until someone got drunk and then there was drama. Not all parties are like this, but the one's we went to were. So we decided to hold the party.
First, we held it at my place. Second, we screened those who attended. there were young couples and vet swingers. We limited it to 10 couples invited (8 showed). We did have some drinks and refreshments, but once everyone got there people drew a number 1-4. There were two of each number. Based on the number you paired off with the couple with the same number. A timer was set for 20 minutes. Everyone went someplace quiet and just talked. When the timer went off, one group rotated. So those that had 4 went to 1 and so on. After a little over an hour, we went into the family room and had a few drinks and were talking about doing a second round. However, this didn't happen as truth or dare started. Almost everyone was naked. There was a new couple who was shy but even they opened up. If anyone was uncomfortable, there were other rooms. It was made clear that no unwanted advances would be tolerated. There weren't instances of this. People started breaking off and going into separate rooms for fun. For couples that are not looking for a single male, yet are constantly contacted by single men with an email that says something like, "Does your hot fuckin' wife want my big cock tonight?" they begin stereo typing. Once that happens, less and less of them will try to discover who ANY single male is.

If they are not looking for a single male, single female, hobo on the corner of 5th and Main, etc, etc, why would they bother to discover who the individual is? I'm not turned on by blonds (for example). If you are blond, why would I bother to even look any further?

Interesting statement, we've often wondered about our perception that Utah lifestylers are a little more "odd", for lack of a better word??? Due to the heightened possibility of "social engineering" (AKA LDS).
As for doing it alone w/doors closed and no one watching in a club - we can understand that "thrill" level. I think the most important thing is that they dont lead people on to thinking there's going to be more before doing that. THAT would be rude, self centered and dis-respectful. I think this is the fine line where people get a little "ruffled" at the many levels of "comfort" in this lifestyle - its tough to get all turned on and revved up then shut out (usually what guys are used to getting from women - lol)...
