FWB Anyone...??? - Seeking FWB - Couple to Date - ^ We hear you. A long time ago we reached out to the OP to just chat, not even sure we were interested beyond that. We were promptly informed were not a match. LOL. We just appreciate that the OP responded. We also think it’s great that they know what they want. Nothing wrong there. The challenge is this is a LS site...they are not “Swingers.” They state this in their profile. They seem to want an exclusive relationship with another couple. Like a quad in polyamory. They seem to want to separately date the other spouse and have this 4 way relationship. I’m sure they will find it but it will be WAY harder than finding 2 unicorns to come play with you at the same time. What they seem to want isn’t what most of us think of as a FWB...it’s more of a poly thing. We truly wish them the best of luck, but it’s going to be tough for them. Most of us are TERRIBLY bad at risk assessment and more often than not we fear things that are statistically FAR less likely to happen than things we don't seem to fear all that much. Some people won't fly in planes even though they are FAR less likely to die in a plane crash than driving their car to Walmart. And many swingers are deathly afraid of getting AIDS even though it's really quite hard to contract compared to, say, HSV, which most adults have actually already been exposed to. Identifying why you're intimidated might be a better use of your time than trying to find a needle in a haystack.
But in the end, do what you're comfortable doing. If you think finding another newbie couple is the least intimidating way to dip your toes in then, by all means, do that. Those of us who have been around the scene for a while, however, could tell you some of the drawbacks to meeting people who are newbies.
Personally, we would seek out a more experienced couple, albeit one who is NOT pushy and is willing to go at your pace and is looking for friendship more than sex. Fun bar to meet people at in slc - - If you're just dropping in to pick-up a woman (or vice versa) to bang and have a few laughs with over the next few months Club 90 is hard to beat. It's not necessarily a swingers club and I wouldn't expect to meet any without some pre-planning.
Basically Club 90 is filled with lots of divorced men and women looking to replace the old schmuck with a new schmuck.
Again not a swingers specific crowed, but if you want to meet a lot of single and fun people Liquid Joe's on Saturday night can be a blast, especially if their house band The Spazmatics (or Metal Gods, same group, just different music) are playing. A good topic to discuss. As for us, we count ourselves as "Fantasyers" that have things we want to experience and do so with the people that we enjoy (and or love) spending time with. Swingers (hard core) may be at one end on one leg, and Poly may be at the other end and on another leg, but we like being at the "Y" and in the middle, whatever that is labeled. :p
