Swinging versus poly/open - -
I'm speculating here, but it seems the millennial generation as a whole is more open to an open/poly relationship, and it naturally is bleeding into Swingular as more and more younger/ish couples sign up. We started out with very strict rules about emotions for others, ect. Now, we find ourselves on a spectrum where we still occasionally love the "wham bam, thank you mam" aspects of swinging (what were their names again...😁?), but after several years of that, we are now far more interested in developing relationships with the people we meet. Sometimes that means we have really good friends with benefits, however neither of us are closed to the possibility of dating the right person. And I don't believe dating others leads to divorce, however not being honest and failing to communicate certainly does. And that applies to swingers and monagamous couples alike.
I really relate to your comments and feel we are very similar. Maybe not to the point of dating others but we definitely want to have feelings for others as a couple and individually. The problem is that most of these open relationships seem to be very secretive which leads to distrust and hurt feelings which leads to more extreme behavior and we just don’t want to get caught in the middle of it. We share and communicate everything, half the fun is turning everyone on which cant happen when it’s all secretive. We just feel more and more pressure to be fully open and people care About our boundaries less and less. Guys start actively messaging and trying to sext my wife without asking me if that’s okay first. Women start getting extra demanding of my attention and then finding out their husbands know very little about what’s going on. Single guys who simply can’t be our friend as a couple and enjoy some occasional bull time with the wife without wanting more. It’s just been really odd for us these past 2 years. We also feel that because the current culture of lifestyle parties is more open relationships, new couples get introduced to it and start thinking that’s the only way. So they either do it that way or leave the scene entirely. Our post is partially to let other newbies know there is another way.

Added Profile Information - We need your feedback. - Have seen on other sites a computer match auto search that matches the top 10 or 20 profiles that match what you and the others are looking for. This could save a lot of needless looking into others profiles endlessly. Some dating services are set up in a simular manor and it does have its benefits. Also good to have a place for specific ages you are looking for, or others are looking for. That way us vintage stock swingers would not be viewed as trying to bother the younger generation that may view us as pasture ready.

Are swingers moral? - Who determines what morals are? -
From certain perspectives yes that's what I'm saying. Religion twists things but from the view of an Islamic extremest what those terrorists did on that plane was the pinnacle of a moral example. From our point of view it was horrid and sick. We are in the out group to these terrorists and religion has warped their view so that they think they need to defend the ideals of their in group. Understanding that they believe they are doing good things doesn't excuse them from the bad things they do. Like how the Pope isn't innocent for using his influence to stop people from using condoms in countries riddled with AIDS and parent less children. He believes he is doing right but is inexcusable.
I am afraid I have to agree. I think morality is a moving object and simply a point of view. It does not take religion or lack of it to make you moral because morality is a self designation and has no absolutes. If we pass laws to protect morality based on an absolute definition of morality, then we are climbing out on a limb and cutting it off behind us. I think hellokity defined the goal when she said

LUSTYTWO4U That guy also said if him and his wife were there alone w/o his kids they would have laughed off the whole affair...im thiningthey might have wanted to join in LOL M

weight approperate - - We have been in the lifestyle together for 10 years now and couples not being up front about just wanting to play with the wife alone has always been a problem with us. We let people know upfront we only play together. Now on the weight subject...We advertise ourselves unashamedly about being a BBW/BHM couple. We also let people know if its Ken and Barbie they want they need to move on down to the next profile. We have played with HWP couples as well as with Big Beautiful Couples like ourselves. The HWP couples we have played with in the past have been amazed at our level of inhibition and sensuality. In short it was an eye opener for them...Big people can be very sexual. One thing we have noticed is that lifestyle web sites, magazines and clubs seem to perpetuate the Barbie and Ken mystique. How often on a swinger web site have you seen a BBW, BHM of even a BBC on their front page? The same goes for magazines and advertising for clubs and lifestyle conventions and events. Even here on Swingular we have yet to see even a featured member that is a person or couple of size. In our humble opionion it's something swingers media needs to address. Our whole take on the topic is this...If your mind is so closed that you can not see beyond exteriors then its your loss. We started a Yahoo group called Big Beautiful Couples and Ladies a couple years ago with the idea that if membership grew large enough maybe organizing an event similar to Lifestyles or Hedonism II. Though the membership is small we still have the passion for the idea of a convention with Big Beautiful People as the primary attendees. We are still checking to see if there is a similar group here on Swingular and if not we'll be getting it rocking and rolling. If we want people in the lifestyle to be more accepting of size (both women & men) we have to learn to be our own best advocates. Have an erotic day Howie & Susie

Best Halloween activities (corn mazes, haunted houses, etc) - - We're the same way lol, we'd love to meet other swingers in a non club/bar atmosphere.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was at a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. They also had a totally Mormon marriage and family therapist who talked frequently throughout the story. Here is the link to the story on the KUTV website. Oh, and they mention Habits and Club 90. Swinging Story There was a hyperlink to Swingular in the online story that now is inactive. Guess too many Elder's Quorum Presidents were logging in to get their jollies. [em]Emo_67[/em]

Mixed Lifestyle Parties - -

Although for those that would be concerned about being outed in the LS, what is the overall concern? I mean if I'm considering this type of party it's not like the bishop or pastor is going to be there, and the likelihood of being seen elsewhere would be slim to none. None the less they are valid concerns and now I have to decide what to do.
We are only speaking for ourselves here ... Discretion - we would prefer to choose to whom we reveal our lifestyle actives with. Even on lifestyle sites and other social media sites, we enjoy a level of anonymity. We control what and to whom we reveal more identifying information (face pictures, names, contact info, etc). Yes, there is a risk in going to lifestyle events and parties. However, most people in the lifestyle believe in mutual assured destruction. If someone tells their vanilla friends, "Hey, I saw Dave & Danna at a swinger party.", their vanilla friends would probably ask, "What were you doing at a swinger party?" In our time in the lifestyle, we have run into three co-workers, two high school classmates, the mother of a child on our child's athletic team, and a woman who we shared a daily commute with on public transportation. So yes, there is a good chance people may run into others from their vanilla lives in the lifefstyle at some time or another.
We agree with most of these comments. Vanilla people have absolutely no reason to keep LS peoples secrets, and I think they’re more likely to gossip about something relatively foreign to them (like a LS party they attended). I’ve had two vanilla coworkers in my office talk about going to The NYer to people watch swingers, and that just made me cringe. I would not trust a vanilla person to keep our secret, and even less if we saw them at a “mixed” type of party where any conclusions could be made. We would rather keep our vanilla friends and our LS friends completely separate for privacy’s sake. No matter how hard vanillas try, most of them cannot wrap their heads around our LS, and just avoiding vanillas while pursuing our LS hobbies is our safest bet. Being fully open to the world about being a swinger is absolutely not something we want in a couples friendship either. We would avoid that as much as we would avoid any chance of vanillas finding out about us. Guilt by association could be just as harmful to our personal and professional lives. As was said above though… your party, your friends. Just make sure all your LS friends are aware of what you’re doing. Some may not care, some could absolutely care if vanillas were there.
