Swinging ,Or cheating? - - Swinging is having sex with people who are not your legal spouses. By definition, having sex with someone who is not your legal spouse is cheating. Therefore all swingers are cheaters, whether or not the spouse knows it. Now, throw that out the window, and label everyone who swings, as cheaters, but ONLY if their spouse does not participate. Don\'t bother to find out if he or she knows, approves, or even suggested it themselves.
Having said that, I am still totally amazed that there are so many narrow-minded folks in this lifestyle. Yes, I completely agree that EVERYONE should know what is going on. I completely DISAGREE that those who play without their spouse\'s participation are automatically defiend as cheaters.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but the fact remains, I don\'t do a thing without my spouse knowing about it. That includes participation in video chat (which she comes to very frequently, just ask anyone who is a regular), e-mailing or chatting with others, meeting, hanging out, or even adult play. If people bothered to get to know me, they would know that. But they knee-jerk and completely eliminate great people like me from their lives, just because they didn\'t bother to look before their leap to label.
If they want to shut me out because I am married and my wife doesn\'t participate, they should go ahead and exercise their right to do so. It doesn\'t bother me a bit. They are perfectly entitled to do so, and I applaud them for that choice.
But they are not allowed to jump to the conclusion that I am \"cheating\" because she doesn\'t play. That\'s grade-school-playground namecalling, slanderous, and beyond immature.
If you don\'t know the circumstances, then you don\'t have the right to go around labeling everyone else. Whoever you are.
At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - More people know than you think. We have two small kiddos and so mums the word around them, but as for adults well we don't tell anyone except the vibe we throw off to the univeres is contantly comeing back. Hell we don't even know we are throwing it, but We surely are even other swingers in Wal Mart, Gas stations anywhere and more and more we notice them too and then confirm it with them. Which Motorcycle Survey? - In the market and want your opinion... - Oh, I have strong thoughts on this subject folks. And I am really doing my homework and shopping very thoroughly. I'm taking my time because I won't be buying until Feb/Mar at the earliest. And I've been watching the Can-Am develop over the past 3 years now. One of our nearby dealers carries them alongside Big Dog Choppers and Suzuki. Interesting line-up.
It's not that what others think will make my decision or unduely influence it, but I am interested in reading others' opinions and thoughts to compare to my own. And I'm checking with a few different demographic groups. Let's face it: swingers tend to march to the beat of their own drum more than most folks! LOL
I brought up the "cool factor" and image stuff in the context of what our own perceptions are of bike culture. I mentioned that we are cruiser types, not crotch-rocket people. I wear western style riding boots and a black leather jacket. But my jacket has armor inserts, all the modern upgrades, and even reflective piping on a traditional cruiser jacket frame. I wear a Bell military-style open face helmet and goggles. My wife rides a blacked out (Raven) 2011 Star Stryker. So we sort of blend the old w/the new a bit. I guess I'm hesitant about the style change.
