Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - As EdNBrenda said a very good book would be "The Lifestyle." It is a little bit dated but the book is research based and has a lot of interesting information from history to demographics. It is not a book to grab for raw excitement but a very good book for intellectual discussion. What makes it unique is the book seems very objective and was written by a non swinger doing his research as an observer of the lifestyle. Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - Wow! It's adorable to read the comments of those 20 through 40's. We remember those years. There are times that memories of incontrolable thrusts and unconscious passion give pause, but experience... though overstated is under-rated. There are plenty of young'uns out there that appreciate the gentility of exploring "water flow naturally to seek its level." A young, (or young in experience) lady sometimes welcomes someone who has gotten past the self-serving impulses of youth. A young buck who wants to find his stride, unthreatened by the challenges of unknown expectations often does the same. The deciding factor is, are you into the trip, or obsessed with a destination in which you've never reached?

We’ve changed. The scene has changed. I remember bi-guys being afraid to mention it for fear of outright hostility. We now prefer a connection, and to meet first to see if the connection is there, if they are in fact real, and to see if they “creep us out.” We do enjoy finding new friends, even if it is just for the night, all the better of more than that. And just finding people who are a bit more liberated to share some company even if there’s no play involved is also great. We have much more to offer than a good roll in the hay, as do most people, and the hay rolling is awesome, but enhanced by an intelectual and mutual respect.

Damn Utah couples! :) - - Its funny how the non-mormons and the jack-mormons form a type of "instant bond" when they find each other. Its kind of like a us vs. them mentality. Swingers are very much the same way. The "Lifestyle" is like a little secret society. Although its becoming more mainstream, swinging isn't quite ready for primetime. :v P.S. Here is a funny little story: I used to work with a guy in Utah who was a returned missionary. His wife and he used to get together with a bunch of other couples as part of a religious/social group. The number of couples grew to about 10. Eventually it became more social and less religious. It finally developed into a swingers group that was quite active. Then there was some cheating and some jealousy and drama. Eventually it all fell apart and the couples scrambled back to the Church vowing never to return. Of course this exercise proved to everyone the power of their faith over the evils of sin. Too bad... apparently they had some hot couples in their group and a lot of hot sex happening.
