New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - My husband already posted on this topic a while back, but I’m now adding my opinion.
In addition to state law hurdles and liquor licensing nightmare laws, each city has difficult sexually oriented business licensing requirements and ordinances. Yes, a nieve person will think that a swingers club is not a sexually oriented business, but city leaders and members of the public will make a big push to ensure a swingers club fits within the ordinance definitions. The licensing process is very public and anyone involved in the licensing will have a lot of exposure. Licensing applications often require background checks, names, business site visits and walkthroughs, and ongoing mandatory surveys after the business opens. Publicity and continued legal battles with the state and city scare couples away.
Research Plato’s a Short-lived swingers club in NYC that was briefly open. During its existence it was continually challenged, closed, reopened, raided, and ultimately put out of business. If NYC ensures Plato's went out of business how is a swingers club in Utah going to fare?

Please explain how you define "balanced." A balanced report on one woman's experience? The woman she reports on was abused.

This is typical of an abusive relationship. She was thrown into the lifestyle to cure her relationship, let's also talk about the other abused women forced to do things they aren't interested in, that would be balanced.
Also, "but she contracted the STD after he engaged in solo sex with another woman." Interesting, this solo woman could have been a swinger, a woman he picked up at a bar, a church function, or even a prostitute. Not a very clear report on this abusers sexual escapades.
I'm just glad "Suzan" was still wearing her black ring..
If your family or non swinging friends found out you swing - - Her mother knows and is totally cool with it, in fact she is usually the one to babysit for us, all she said was to be careful since problems can arise. His parents dont know as they are "card carrying" people so it would not go over well at all.
Most of our friends are swingers and people we have met from this site, but the ones that arent are fine with it - one day we will convert them lol.
KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - There is also the part about the needs of some to explore life to its fullest and in some cases it is held back by the desire to stay faithful to your partner. Swinging opens that avenue up and takes away the need to cheat on your spouse. In some cases it is amazing to watch your spouse be pleased by someone whether you are taking part or not. Watching my wife be pleased by another guy was an amazing experience and wouldn't give that up for nothing. Not sure that is news worthy!

For the record... its not just an abundance of swingers.. but one heck of alot of very wonderful people. The scenery is fantastic and depending upon where you locate... it may be alittle retro "Mayberry" in some areas... but the peace and quiet is wonderful. You still have the big city atmosphere too if thats something you like.
