Where to go, what to do. - Non club activities - Is there any chance that a place could exist where swingers could go meet other swingers on a regular basis that isn't a club? We find clubs boring and loud. Half the meet and greets are just lifestyle club scenes. Mansion parties are great but they don't exist all the time and would be too expensive if they did. I doubt the non club scene would be viable though.

At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - Most of our long-term friends know we've always had an "open relationship" (and the guys are all jealous LOL), and a couple of my wife's close girlfriends know about the nature of the "clubs" we go to on weekends sometimes. (We've even managed to play with one or two of those friends ;) )
As for family, we'd never tell either side. Hers would have a real hard time I think, my siblings are younger than me but not kids anymore and probably wouldn't care. I'd say both sides would be comfortable with a "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy.
Just a comment on Dr. Ziggy's post - we're the "live & let live type," and we're not at all ashamed of what we do. We wouldn't care if the whole world knew if it didn't affect our lives, but the reality would be very different, I'm sure.
A new swing friend once asked how I'd feel if our kids became swingers one day. My response was that, if they were making a responsible decision when they did so, that I'd hope they find as much enjoyment in it as we have. real members? - - CYBER SWINGERS strike again! We had the same thing happen to us although we only drove 2 hrs this cpl must have exchanged 40 messages with us over a 3 month period they were so excited to meet us in person we showed they didn't! They were supposeably traveling to Florida on vacation we called them on the cell only got a voice mail and never heard from them again! We wish people would just be HONEST when we say we willbe someplace for a meeting we are there or we call before hand to say something has come up never leave a cpl wondering. its a fact of life in this lifestyle we simply try to make the best of it like that night we sat there enjoyed a drink and watched this beautiful blond sing and play the piano then we simply drove home and laughed and said "NEXT"! We have learned to not take the lifestyle too serious its ashame some people continue to play these petty mindgames but we know its a fact in this lifestyle. Looking for Advice - Recently coming back into the LS - Others have told you that you aren't actual swingers. We say, who cares what they think? You are in the "lifestyle" for your enjoyment and preferences. Don't be bothered about what they tell you. However, they were correct that what you want is a "tall order". They may not have been judging you, but just giving you the reality of what you seek. But, be patient. At some point, a unicorn or a wife with a hall pass will join you. It will not be as frequently as what most of us do here, but it will happen eventually. Just keep posting. We really hope you find what you're looking for.
