KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Blah, blah, non swingers talking about a lifestyle they no nothing about.. thank god I don't have tv..

Site Weirdness - A thousand less members online than usual? - There's typically 1600-2000 members online when I login at any given time; but there's less than 600 online today. The layout appears to have changed slightly as well, (Log Out button moved for example) though no functionality updates I can find. Has there been a swinger apocalypse? A Rapture in which more swingers were caught up than one would cynically imagine?

Seeking mormon swingers - - "Your comments are ignorant." To try and say that nicely...You sound like an awesome fun couple that I'd love to get to know, and I REALLY hope you have a great time in Salt Lake City! Maybe we'll even get a chance to meet. I'm Mormon, and have lived in many different areas of the world and work in a very culturally diverse career, and I just have to say, "Your Mormon experiences, as you described them, are not the norm." The folks here are really very much like everyone everywhere else. I wish the comments here on this site were less harsh at times.

Swingers In Uniform - Pay your memorial day respects here. - My husband has served in the USMC before we were married. Both my husband and I have been in Public Safety. (Him in the Fire Service and I in Law Enforcement and later attorney.) We have first hand knowledge of the sacrifices we and other Americans in uniform give. We speak as one (and it looks like others) in our Pride we have for our Nation. Under God and will do everything to fight for the rights of all who share in our ideals. For those who don

Dating other Couples - Have you done it? - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. We know plenty of people who've done it, and done it successfully (up to a point), ourselves included. We don't know of many, if any, where it has lasted for more than a few years and didn't end somewhat badly. It CAN be quite heady and has the potential to take swinging to the next level. Unfortunately, it is also exponentially more likely to crank up the drama factor to eleven (out of ten). Quite often each couple has their own "agenda" (for lack of a better term) that is often at odds with the other couple's agenda. We've seen it frequently cause weird jealousies not only between primary partners but also between non-primary partners and in a few extreme notable cases it has ended marriages. In our case, we were relatively long-term swingers at that point who, although never really super active in the scene, felt like we'd checked off most of the things on our swinging bucket list and were somewhat curious if there was more out there to explore in swingerdom...or if we were sort of done with the scene. The couple we started "dating" wasn't really the kind of couple we usually were attracted to and maybe that was part of the allure. They also had a very interesting (to say the least) dynamic in their marriage that really was at odds with that in our relationship. Ultimately they kept pushing boundaries (started throwing the "L" word around and much more), pushed for more and more separate activities and were insidious in slowly and subtly causing rifts, both large and small, as well as a LOT of drama. We actually didn't even realize how much drama and subterfuge had occurred until we were finally out of the situation entirely. We actually miss them a little, at times, and often wonder if there might have been a way to talk things out and come to a better understanding of how to continue on in a healthier way but they've actually gone on to do exactly the same thing to a number of other couples we know (it's a small world in Utah swinging and word gets around) and it seems to be their pattern. Tldr; It can work. It's quite rare when it works long term. It has the potential for disaster. While it's appealing in many ways we don't really recommend it. YMMV

Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - oh my bad lol. Alton

When You're Shopping the Scene... - - We don't have any experience at the 'swingers market' such as the former Habits, Sandy Station, etc. We would like to try. Is there anything that we should wear that would signify our interest? Our experience comes from meeting people online, then meeting at a public place for bedroom time afterward. So, this 'scene' thing is all new to us.

HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? - - There are a lot of swingers out there that 1) should consider themselves Poly. meaning they want a meaningful relationship with others. or 2) they have spent so much time and energy in trying to find a match that once they do they make bad judgements calls in regard to how to handle the relationship. The best thing to do is lots of communication. However if that does not work run fast. Some people do have attactment issues.

How to get started? - - We would recommend to find someone interesting to you, write and meet. We have found, and this is not scientific, but it is our experience, that if they do not want to meet for drinks or coffee after an email or two, they are not really interested but do not know how to say as such. This is not to say that you should meet and jump into the bed, but meeting is key. We have found very few people who are what their pics and profile say, us included, we hear many times, "Boy glad we took a chance, you should get better pics" and such. Those who post old pics are easily identified, they have the old hair styles, clothes, etc. As to single men, we have found that MOST of them are unreliable at best. Few are truly swingers, rather they are men who want sex without a relationship. If something they see as better comes along, they will not show for you. The going to the club idea is probably your best bet, aside from an email intro, a few minutes on yahoo, AIM, or MSN messenger to set up a meeting time and place. WHo knows, maybe you just live in a crappy area for lifestyle activities...Come to Tampa, it has the most adult orriented businesses per capita than any other metropolitan area in the USA, at least in 2004 it did, according to Playboy.
