Are swingers moral? - Who determines what morals are? - I was raised to believe that morality and the law are the same thing. People, in LDS society anyway, seem to profess that being moral is obeying the law and that is what they teach their children in church. I have always assumed that other religions do the same thing. But what seems to be said here is that swingers feel that the law has little or nothing to do with morality and that we are perfectly willing to break the law for our own pleasure. Is that what we are saying here.

Single females profile... "but not" - - At the risk of taking this even further off topic...I look at honesty the same way I look at sin (not that I believe in the concept of sin). Observing and talking to my neighbors I've discovered that the majority have little "pet" sins that they unilaterally seem to deem more important to avoid than other sins. Some of my neighbors would never consider shopping on Sunday but don't have a problem working in their yards in rather skimpy (for them) attire during the summer. Others seem adamant that church attendance is more than mandatory but have no problem hitting Chuck A Rama after church. Still others are devout temple goers yet have confided that they have a single glass of champagne on New Years Eve. Honesty, to me, appears very similar. I know many swingers who are less than honest about their weight and/or age yet really seem to get upset if someone is less than honest about their relationship status. Handling aging and lifestyles - How do you handle getting older? - Something none of us can control at present is growing older. For most of us, getting older means physical and some mental changes. These changes have a tendency to make us less desirable especially to the younger crowds, yet the minds of the maturing swingers still feel the need for participation along with the attraction for others. So, the questions are: How do you handle getting older and finding yourself less attractive to others and less involved. And, what are your age boundaries, if any. The youngest you will participate with and the oldest you will friend and why. We have our own opinions, we will express later, but we would like to see what others think.

Christain Swingers? - - I think overall Religion has a poor track record when it comes to morallity. That is one of the reasons there are so many divisions in christianity. Often,when someone wants to justify their veiw on an issue they use religious interpitation to back it, some have even started new religions or branches of their previos religion to accomidate their position. Wars have been fought , people persecuted, tortured and put to death in the name of religion, and it still occurs on this very day. I remember a statement, said to be made by Jesus Christ: "He who has not sinned cast the first stone". I think the person about to be stoned was accused of adultry. One of his close followers and friends was a prostitute. He went to the temple to tell the holier than thou, they were missing the point, and if I recall he was said to have given his sermons in the streets, and roads to anyone who wanted to listen. Karl Marx (I do not believe in Communism) refered to religion as the "opium of the people". I think he may have been on to something. I had 12yrs of religious study in Catholic grade & high school and I think rather than brain washing me it opened my eyes up to the contradictions in religion. I think you have to step away from religion to be really objective, when looking at the morality of any issue. I feel a persons faith and beliefs are a personal and individual thing. Organized religion can often pollute your judgement, if you let it. If you can step away from it and look objectively at your choices in life, you may also find there is still room for you to step back in, and find a place for yourself in its boundries, also. I think like COTA has experienced, religion has let a lot of us down in one way or another. It is up to each of us to make up our own minds, when it comes to matters of faith and morality. Personally I don't think religion should cast stones.
