The situation in Utah is different than many other localities because there is not much of a club scene. By that I mean swingers clubs, most large cities have at least one or more. These are places where you can meet friends to have sex or fool around or even make new friends. They are very popular in Houston, we have 5 clubs. While its not what we like many younger people do like them. You probably will not meet a single girl but you could meet a couple or single guy. Some couples prefer swinger resorts or cruises for sexual activity with others.
We prefer dating other couples and getting to know one another over drinks and if everyone agrees then getting naked and exploring our boundaries. Of course attraction is the first thing we notice but how a couple expresses themselves in their profile really makes a difference for us. We have no problem emailing couples we are interested in or think we might be attracted to and we probably get a response 10% of the time and maybe end up meeting less than half the time. The definition of cheating - - Interesting discussion. Certainly from a relationship standpoint the classic definition of cheating is being with someone other than your partner physically and/or emotionally. As swingers, however, we often hold ourselves above others and fall back on the lying and/or sneaking around aspect. Personally I feel that being dishonest with the person you hold most dear in this life to be the essence of cheating for me. When information is withheld you take away that person's prerogative to choose whether or not to stay in the relationship with you based on your actions outside of the relationship. There are a million ways people rationalize cheating. I find that a person's attitude towards cheating is a very good litmus test for the depth of their character. Now should we talk about cheating on a test or cheating other people out of their hard earned money? How about cheating on your taxes or at a poker game with friends? At what point DOES cheating become morally reprehensible or should it be "all's fair in love and war" and "every man (or woman) for himself"? Or as SIRNEWBY asserts, is self deception/lying/cheating really the only valid metric? Or did I misunderstand your point, SN? It would be interesting to get feedback from people (I'm sure there are plenty) who've been cheated on.

Wouldn't it be the hosts problem if the neighbors were nosy..? They should know their neighborhood and take the appropriate steps. Our neighbors all know, the reason they were nosy is because they wanted to come over, They were just swingers in denial.

You might want to look deeper into what Utah is all about before you dive in. Just because you can see a few hundred swingers that appear to be cool, doesn't mean that the other 2.2 million Utahns are so accepting and fun.
Living in Utah has some very good benefits (aside from the abundance of swingers)- these include the mountains, the desert, the skiing/snowboarding, hiking, biking, boating, camping, etc. pretty much whatever you want to do here, it is available. We have four distinct seasons, which are nice, if you like hotter than hell summers and super cold winters.
The negative side to living in Utah is a little more hidden, and harder to explain. Simply put, if you don't fit in to the predominant culture (conservative, religious, Caucasian) you might not be happy here. Not that there aren't liberal, non-religious, non-white people here, but many locals look down on anyone who is 'different.'
Also with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, and with less jobs available than most places, it might be difficult to find work in Utah.
I hope I haven't pissed anyone off with my reply... Just trying to give Justin (and everyone else) a little bit of insight on what Utah is about
