Swinger cruise - YOLO cruise on Carnival Legend (April 26th) - We've been in the lifestyle for about 3-3 1/2 years and I am wondering if most swingers are also nudists. I am curious because of this discussion about when/if nudity is allowed around the pool. When BEACHWITHUS said the following, "implying that anytime you want to lounge poolside, you can do so, nude, which is what you'd expect from a lifestyle cruise" I wondered if this IS what people expect on a lifestyle cruise. While we've gone to nudist resorts several times for lifestyle parties, and are comfortable being nude in that environment, we don't consider ourselves nudists. I know that many nudists are quick to clarify that they are NOT swingers. Are there swingers who also feel they aren't nudists? We've been on other lifestyle cruises that were not complete take-overs (since this is the first after all) and it was still a good time even though there were MANY more restrictions & limitations around the ship except for in the private lounge they provided where we could be skimpier, saucier, racier...awww, you get the idea. LOL Being free to be more open and dress sexier can make this cruise much more fun and exciting! It seems from the message sent out clarifying the rules about nudity on the ship that we'll get to see lots of skin for all but 2 days while in port. Some men do value personality over body type and some definitely value body type over personality. It's the same for women too. In fact, on average, we've met more women who are extremely picky about body type, etc. than men. And body type isn't the only thing that can be a deal breaker for people. Age is also a line in the sand for many swingers. For others, things like smoking or drug use can be big factors in choosing play partners. And there are MANY quite minor factors that people use to weed out people they may not want to play with. I think it's probably because swinging is more or less a fantasy activity and people are looking for a certain type that hits most or at least some of their checkmarks for a fantasy partner.Those may be body type, hair color, ethnicity, age, or one of many other criteria. (Not a lot going on at the resorts.. one or two games per day is all). - Many of the excursions are takeovers as well, so you can be naked if you want. (Many of the resorts of topless-only). - You can be completely naked on most parts of the ship, if you want. - Dedicated play-rooms. Lots of them. (Many resorts only have one smaller area dedicated for play... which makes sense... generally only 200 to 250 people at a resort at any given time). - MASSIVE crowd. 3,500+ people on a single ship. You'll never possibly get to know even 5% of the people on the ship. (In other words, you have a huge pool of people to choose from to find people you like!!). Unless you are into older people, this is a HUGE advantage, because on any expensive swingers vacation, less than 20% of the crowd is going to be under 50. (People under 50 generally can't afford vacations like this)....... 20% of 3,500 is MUCH better than 20% of 250 in terms of finding couples your own age. For us, this is the single most important factor. - Better / more types of food to choose from. - Higher-end facilities and nicer overall atmosphere. You'll get to know everyone at the resort at the time you are there. - Much more laid back. If you like to do is lounge by the pool all day, every day, it's for you. - You can leave the resort any time you want and venture into town. - Typically you have better access to phones, internet, TV, etc. - Rooms are bigger If you look at the activity list on a typical resort, you'll find there's only one thing going on at any given time. Most people just lounge by the pool all day, every day -- and then they go to club-style events at night. The cruise is totally different... At any given time, you can choose from 3 or 4 different activities (or just lounge by the pool)... and you can still do the club-style stuff at night IF YOU WANT.. (but there's usually other alternatives to pick from). Honestly, the ONLY major downside to the cruise compared to the resorts is that they don't do the swingers takeover cruises very often. (Once or twice a year is all you've got to pick from). So if you're picky about WHEN you go... the resort is probably your only bet. If you're flexible, don't give it a second thought... the swingers cruise is where it's at. =) I agree, however, that if you're going to do the resorts, and age is a factor (it is definitely a factor for us), young swingers week is where it's at! It is a large and close-knit community...which means that the more people that you meet, you will meet their friends and get more peeps in your "swinging network". Only being on this site for 2 weeks means that your exposure to the social side of the community has been VERY limited. To compound that, you're legally underage for the types of activities (drinking) and venues that many of these activities occur. Be patient, and look for the other ways to meet people on here. The chat room is always a good start, there is a good variety of swingers from all age groups and social statuses that are there. Being active (in a POSITIVE, not argumentative way...we all know who we are) on the Forum threads is another way to get yourselves better known. What I would NOT do, however...is whine that you're not getting any chances given to you.
