Just curious are we the only ones? - Just curious are we the only ones? -
Black rings? Really?? Soooo how well known is this fact? I would really like something that's discreet but yeah...says I'm in. But if they are vanilla...I don't want them to know at all! Am I gonna out myself to the world if I get a ring??
The idea of the black ring has been around for a long time. As early as the 60's by some accounts. However it is not generally well known. As such it's very uncommon to see anyone wearing them in public. Mrs. DandD and I have only seen one other couple wearing them and we have only had one other couple notice ours that we know of. It's also important to to note that black rings carry different meanings depending on who is wearing them. Members of the of homosexual community have been known to wear them on the right hand ring finger to indicate marriage when living where marriage was not legal for them. Members of the AVEN community wear them on the middle finger of the right hand to identify each other. Finally swingers wear them on the right hand but not on the middle finger generally out of respect for and, I'm guessing, to avoid being confused as member of the AVEN community.

Swingers gone bad?? - - We agree these people are not swingers and should not be even close to the class of swingers.

Are we really as judgmental as vanilla people? - - Yes, many in the lifestyle are as judgmental as those outside. I am 15 pounds overweight but to some I am as broad as a battleship. What's more, after 34 years of marriage, 24 of which were in the lifestyle, my wife died. All of a sudden I was persona non grata at the club we attended because single males were not allowed. I had not changed, only my marital status. I have been pilloried and shunned because of being lumped with the FEW young single guys who don't have a clue. Now I have 3 strikes: I'm old, I'm slightly overweight, and single. I've learned these last 9 years that swingers can be just as cruel, predjudiced and uncaring as other people. What keeps me going is all those swingers who truely accept me as I am.:z

Vegas: Swingers circle or couples oasis? - Which do I prefer - H2O, Couples is about 10 minutes from the Strip. It is southwest of the end of the Strip. It is a private house with a big parking lot in back (gravel, so ladies watch those heels or get dropped off by the entrance). The way in is not at the front of the house, it is actually in the driveway past the garage area (that are now play rooms). Contact them at couplesoasis.com and they can give you directions/info.

Labor Day Weekend - - We're going to the big annual ferret racing event in Urda then gonna find the nearest five star hotel with an on premise three star Michelin restaurant (probably The Four Seasons in Stockton or maybe the Waldorf in Tintic). We're hoping to organize a meet 'n greet at the hotel for swingers who like to play with sock puppets (they like to be fisted ya know) and then hit the hottub wearing our Dancing With The Stars commemorative ballroom dancing gear and sipping Boones Farm while gazing at the blue moon. Oh and prolly Sniagrab. Daddy needs some new ski boots.

Family Swingular Members - OMFG and you do a search and see a close family member on the list..... - So my parents are swingers on the site. They sent a friend request shortly after my last post, I debated for 5 months whether to accept it or not. I finally accepted it and had a conversation with my mom about her special piercing ;)

western slope colorado swingers - trying to find fellow swingers - Hey there! Love Montrose....while we live in Utah...we visit there often. Love to ride in the San Juans! We haven't met anyone from that area, but have seen a few post...mostly from Junction. Good luck!

Wishbones - - Is anyone else aware of this? In the Myrtle Beach, SC area people that are in the lifestyle are wearing wishbone necklaces and wishbone jewelry to distinguish themselves as people in the lifestyle. I'd like to see this phenomonon spread. The gay and lesbian communities have their symbols to distinguish themselves without having to announce to the world that they are gay/lesbian. With most people's desire for discretion within the lifestyle, an outward symbol would not only save alot of question, but could potentially save some embarrassment as well. When people ask me what mine means, I try to answer according to how the question was asked. If someone asks me pointedly what it means I tell them "Good Luck", which is true. If someone asks me about it that has that "Does that mean what I think it means?" look, I tell them it's a swinger's symbol. LOL The following quote is from the profile of the couple that started the wishbone thing in SC....."For as long as the swinging lifestyle has been around, there has not been a symbol to associate swingers with. Other alternative lifestyles have developed a symbol that represents them; the gay and lesbian community has the rainbow, the BDSM have their converted ying yang symbol; now the swingers have the wishbone. The wishbone represents many aspects of the swinging lifestyle. The closed end represents two halves coming together as one. For a swinger knows, it takes much trust and compromise to make the lifestyle work. The open end represents the open-mindedness and open sexuality of the lifestyle. And, let's face it, the entire wishbone reminds us that we live a lifestyle that many people only wish for. To the ordinary person, the wishbone is just a typical piece of jewelry. But, to those in the lifestyle, the wishbone identifies you as someone in the lifestyle." In this area, people are fairly familiar with the wishbone as a lifestyle symbol and we can immediately identify couples or singles within the lifestyle. My primary profile pic shows me wearing my wishbone necklace. I'd like to see this symbol adopted as a standard for all people within the lifestyle...Any thoughts?

closed doors? - - It seems as if the doors are closed to a couple with little or no experience. Why is that? My wife and I have been posting ads on various swing sites for a while now and haven't been lucky enough to find a nice couple or single female to hook up with. Is it that swingers don't want to "waste their time" breaking in newbies or what? We've chatted with a single female who blew us off and a couple of couples who have done the same. We would just love to find a couple or single female who we can actually hook up with. How are you supposed to "enjoy the lifestyle" when the lifestyle won't enjoy you?

Orgy Party by Swingers Circle in Las Vegas - -
We attended once, left at the break...comically bad, like something that swinger horror stories are made of. Words can't describe the creep factor vibe that the organizer gives off, we still laugh about it several years later.
Same here, wouldn't recommend. I'm still having nightmares.
