Monogamy in marriage - An interesting article on the subject - I think the number one reason that a marriage goes off track is the lack of communication. It could show up in fights over money, one or the other cheating because their needs are not taken care of in the marriage, or just about any of the rocks that so many couples run into along the path of married life. One reason I think that swingers tend to be happier and more secure is because without good, open communication swinging can be a minefield. We are entering a time where, now that the swingers of the 70's are getting to retirement age, this could easily start happening more often.
Hot Wife Anklets - Who knows what they are and notices them? - I think they're mostly an urban legend, at least as far as the myth of a woman who wears an anklet being into that particular sexual act. Yes, women in the "hotwife" lifestyle sometimes wear them. But so do other women of all ages and persuasions.
Personally, I wouldn't make any assumptions about a woman's sexual proclivities based on a particular piece of jewelry that she is or isn't wearing. I even had a neighbor once who I noticed wearing an anklet that actually SAID "Hotwife" on it. I guarantee that the only connotation it had for her was that she was a wife and her husband thought she was hot.
But if you enjoy wearing them, knock yourself out. Just don't assume all, or even many, of the people you encounter (outside of a swingers party) will know the implication. And fwiw I've seen more than one tween wearing them at the mall. So there's that....
Labor Day Weekend - - We're going to the big annual ferret racing event in Urda then gonna find the nearest five star hotel with an on premise three star Michelin restaurant (probably The Four Seasons in Stockton or maybe the Waldorf in Tintic). Agree. The problem with Mormon women (and men!) is that if they're strict, by-the-book Mormons, they were virgins (we were!) when they got married and know little to nothing about sex and how to pleasure the human body (including their own!). It took us a LONG time to figure out sex and THEN, once we started swinging, to realize that there is a big wide world of sexual experiences and techniques and that no single act, 'move', or technique is universally preferred or desired by everyone.
Having said that, probably the vast majority of swingers we've encountered in Utah are or were Mormons and you have to decide, especially if they're new and/or you're trying to convert them, if you're kind of willing to be mentors (for lack of a better term) and/or just be very very patient and sort of go back to the basics or at least to whatever level that they're at. It's really quite sad since we've known SO many Mormons who strictly followed their law of chastity only to find, after they were married, that they weren't at all sexually compatible. And I personally think that is one of the leading causes of divorce (along with different types of abuse) among Mormons.
P.S. I hope this didn't come across as condescending. Like I said, we were Mormons and went thru pretty much everything I mentioned above. But we were some of the lucky ones who were both pretty much on the same page sexually.
