Swingers - a couples only lifestyle? - Are singles considered to be swingers? - I'm sure this will get a comment or two, but it's something we've thought about and have read about on other sites.
NASCA states about swinging: "Though single men and women are involved, it is primarily an activity of couples.".
So is a single person considerd to be in the lifestyle when they are looking to connect with a couple or single ? It'll be interesting to hear what others have to say. To us, being in the lifestyle means exchanging partners - which means sex between couples. If we bring a single woman in to play it's not swinging - it's being intimate with a third. He/she cannot be considered a swinger because they have no spouse/significant other to participate with them and they're acting alone.
The lifstyle is all about sharing ones self and partner with another couple who feel the same way.

So you're asking why do swingers prefer MFF instead of MMF?
Because most women in the life-style are bi-sexual to varying degrees, and most men are not. Not even a little bit. Thus, MFF becomes the "third wheel" combination that most swinger couples can enjoy together. (Versus MMF, which is really more just about pleasing the female).
Why is is to hard for a single-male to find a couple to play with? Well, see above.. most couples don't want MMF... and those that DO want MMF have about 10,000 of you to choose from. Supply and demand.

Yup. Tons more bi gals than bi guys. Probably 'cause, for just bunches of reasons, it's a lot more "acceptable" for a gal to like playing with gals than it is for guys to like playing with guys. And, as much as some of us see ourselves as rejecting society's "norms" and doing what we ourselves think is right, or acceptable, we still grew up in that society, had its standards pounded into us for years, and just can't truly get completely away from all of them. Seriously people...there are numerous sites dedicated to Swingers. Most are area-specific. If you want a truly "national" so-called swinging website, why not join AFF: the Walmart of swinging sites?
You can't blame us Utards for having a fairly active if not colorful forum board...not to mention the most active swinging community of any that we have lived in. Google your own areas for swinging sites, you're bound to find one more appropriate for your geographical location. In the meantime...can't we all just get along (even living in different states)? It's an age, old, question. - No, I'm NOT 94.... - We respect others opinions on age preference. For us we certainly admire the looks of younger swingers but we prefer those with a little more maturity. We don't want to get naked with people our kids age, just our preference. Thats the great thing about about being in the lifestyle, you get to meet those that fit your preference and walk away if it's less than what you thought.

How Do you Find Out - Question about Friends - For the most part, DON'T ASK... There are WAY more NON-SWINGERS in the country than swingers, so your chances of your friends being swingers is slim. There are a few things that will point to swinging. Check her closet. If there is allot of club wear the chances are better. Ask about their vacations. If they mention a place like HEDO they are pretty much swingers.. If there is a couple you would like to play with you can create a fun night and when things feel right, ask if they have ever thought about swinging... Keep in mind that not all swingers want to be KNOWN due to family, friends, jobs etc. Good luck... ... Steve
