yep, there is a place outside of Palm Springs in Desert Hot Springs called Sea Mountain Inn. I think that is what you are referring to. There are couples (single females...no single men allowed) and it's ALL age groups. It's mainly 35-50. We have been there twice. Loved it both times. Who started it? - Who/How/How long? - Before we were in the lifestyle, we went to Hedonism. Nothing happened, but it started an itch that I knew I had to scratch one day if I could convince my wife. If you read the article in the link above the video, the author postulates that 10,000 years ago a shift in our way of life (agricultural revolution) also shifted the sexual paradigm. And that is why that method of conflict resolution was abandoned, not because of evolutionary pressures, but because of social pressures. Being that it only occurred 10,000 years ago that is why the basic instinct has not changed, and why humans still seek sexual variety, even multiple partners. That theory is so radically different from most other evolution theories it is akin to Copernicus suggesting that the earth was not the center of the universe. History and science have proven Copernicus right, what about this theory?
