That's all fine and good but you don't think that a guy might just SAY that in hopes of changing the girl's mind later? I'm not questioning your integrity or motives just saying that, in general, many guys will say and do just about anything for sex. I could easily imagine quite a few scenarios where a guy could come across with seemingly good intentions but have ulterior motives. Hell, we've had guys write us and ask to meet them and their wives (without disclosing that we're swingers) and suggest that we get the wife really drunk and then have sex with them. we've been swingers since 2003, and we really only went to a lot of parties and sought out new experiences with regularity for the first 2 years. now it's just another "thang" we dabble in from time to time when the mood hits us...mostly on vacation, weekend getaways, and stuff like that.
and we really have no ego stake in how many unsolicited emails we do or don't get from people asking us to hook up or inviting us to parties. if we get the itch, we'll look around, find something that piques our curiosity, and send them a message.

Who in the relationship initiated the idea of joining the lifest - And why? - I lost my virginity to my hubby, and had no other partners Before we married. We were fortunately able to befriend an older (25's) couple in college who were swingers. When I started having all the usual "what am I missing" emotions, he suggested that we pursue the lifestyle. We were rather young for it... started at age 21... but it has become an integral part of our lives. Now we have been married over 17 years and have a better relationship and sex lives than ever.

What about the lifestyle didn't meet your expectations? - Preconceptions and disappointment. - I thought it might be interesting to see what preconceived ideas people had about swinging that were completely different than what they actually found in the lifestyle. As an example, this isn't one of OUR preconceptions but we've run into SO many people (yes, usually guys...single AND coupled) who have the idea that basically anyone will fuck anyone in the lifestyle. We've encountered a large number of swingers over the years who seem to believe that the ONLY commonalities necessary for a swinging connection is the simple fact that we're all swingers. Any other factors are, apparently, moot.

At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - I completely agree with you on the fact about "IF" our son became a swinger oneday. We wouldn't care either way as long like you said he was making a responsible decision and not just going along with someone because he thought it sounded fun or he though hell mom and dad did it I can too. However I must say there are alot of ppl we know personally that would die if their children found out or indeed became swingers themselves,I am of the mind set ppll who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
