I will admit my mind is not that open. I wouldn't enjoy seeing any bi men activities at a party we would leave.
We or mostly I dont find those thoughts sexy. However I have seen bi couples and group all bi parties forming on Craigslist. However I doubt those parties are held someplace with a heated indoor pool and Spa. But for $12.50 each you should be able to cover the cost of a suites. Single Males vs. Unicorns - this is ridiculous - This site is no different than any other swingers site. I'm afraid that you will find good and bad in all groups, be it single males, single females, or couples. There are those that give their perspective groups a bad name, but unfortunately, little can be done about it, as it can be hard to verify who is for real and what someone's intentions are, without knowing them in person.
In my time in the lifestyle, I have observed...single males who were actually in relationships but looking for secret side action, single females, who seem to have a husband/bf who's looking to join...but she still lists as single, and couples who believe that simply because they bring someone along to a party...it gives them free range to do as they please. On the flip side, I have met some very nice people from all 3 groups as well.
My point is...all 3 of these groups have their roles in the lifestyle, but until a foolproof way comes along of determining who's for real and who's not...we will all have to deal with the good and the bad. As others have mentioned though...if you are object to a particular group and don't want to hear anything from members of that group...block/ignore them. Just remember that you are throwing out the good along with the bad.
If you give it a try, it don't mean you're bi !!!!!! - - judging from some of the negative reaction men get from saying they would at least like to try bi it is not wonder you won't see a lot of men admitting it. The stigma and hostility it brings out in some must really make it hard for some men to even consider it. It is a shame there is a double standard and that folks can't be open minded enough to allow those who want to explore do so without being ostrasized. What open minded people should keep in mind is that the whole lifestyle is about pleasure and having fun. If it is not your cup of tea then I am sure nobody will force you to it. But you shouldn't condemn others because they do. After all I am sure vanilla folks condemn swingers and I am sure the swingers dislike being condemned. KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - This was typical for what passes as journalism in the great state of Utah. Heidi Hatch appears to be a shill for the Mormon church, or just a bad journalist. Based on my views of the quality of news reporting in Utah, and the influence of the church locally, I will go with both.
One concern this story brings up is the level of scrutiny now on the community in Utah and what the the laws surrounding playing and public parties are, especially where on-premises sex is permitted. I can see our own home-grown morality police trying to force their version of reality on the rest of the population and seek to stop these parties from happening.
Anyone know the laws around Utah for these things?
Are you still interested! - Dynamics amoung swingers - Two comments I am going to try to keep short.
First.. there are the couples we see somewhat regularly, we enjoy the more intimate moments with them, but we need to take a break every so often and just be friends. We are glad they understand that. When we are ready to get back into the bedsheets with them, its much more meaningful and fun. We respect them when they feel the need to become vertical friends for a while and not horizontal. So its not always a loss of interest, just a temporary change of scenery or personal events in our life... (Then again, some people do have issues that change their attitude towards lifestyles altogether.. and you have to respect their needs when they become just vanilla).
Second. Old topic, but similar in nature to this string.
Whatever happened to plain old honesty? Its a frustrating experiences to chat over a period of time, feel a friendship is developing, finally meet and spend a great eveing together... talk about getting together again soon only to be continually stood up or given a rash of excuses. I think everyone understands that finding a good match with another couple comes with several disappointments. Its so much easier to accept when you are told straight out that its not going to work out, rather than being lead on and on with the premise that there is something developing. Common courtesy goes along way and commands respect. Even after a relationship that may have developed for extended periods of time, why not be truthful and let the other party know when the interest is dying or gone? Or when its just a social relationship you are comfortable with.. why not be honest? There are some great friendships that can be made here that dont require sex.
It happens to all of us.. think about how you want to be treated when you are on the recieving end.

Policing Ourselves - Can it be done? - Recently a suggestion was made that we as a group need to educate and police ourselves as a group in this our chosen lifestyle (thats swinging for all us simple folk) .
In order to do this effectively wouldnt there have to be some set of rules that everyone would be expected to adhere to? What would those rules be? how would they be created and ratified? would swingers from their respective states send represntatives to a central location to vote on these rules(oops now we get into politics) ? If you were teaching a new person (regarless of marital status or gender) the rules about swinging what would you teach them first?
I really would love to hear as much as possible from you guys.

Is this one of your rules? What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? - Phenyx, People/Swingers are all ages from 21 to 60+ and are l;ooking for many different things. Some look strictly for sex... others look for friends first some look for friends with benefits and some of the older couples are looking for one or two couples that are exclusive to each other and provide variety to their sex lives. Thes exclusive laisons are about variety and safe sex... I don't think that anyuone can make statements about anyone elses' preferences within the lifestyle...
