It's not all that important in the scheme of things and seems to always work out best for us if we don't take it or ourselves too seriously. We're pretty comfy with where we're at now with friends and all -- so I've toned it down to reflect that but if I were back into a voracious hunt again I'd certainly take your remarks into consideration. Thinking of checking out UTAH - Been on this site for awhile, seems like the partys over in Utah - Well, CBUTAH, some of the best people, period, are in the lifestyle. Even though some folks seem to think there are lots of those types, and there are a number of them, they're outnumbered by the real people, the ones who are essentially honest, who are open-minded, accepting and considerate of the feelings and desires of others, and, perhaps most of all, who are intelligent and who think for themselves instead of just following the crowd in whatever direction is the most popular at the moment. Those are the people who make it a real community, not just a bunch of sex hungry whatevers. The others, who are here just for whatever sex they can get and don't give a damn for anything but their own personal pleasure, well, they usually don't get a lot of that pleasure, not over the long run, and mostly they eventually either manage to give themselves away or get tired of trying with little or no result, and then they leave. And for YOUNGCHARM, what do you mean by "check out" Utah? You're in Illinois. If you mean to check it out strictly online, I'm not sure what you'd get from it. While there are certainly people who enjoy sexting, sex chat and sex camming, I think the majority of people want to meet people in the flesh. If you're hoping to meet someone online, and then visit Utah to hook up, well, there just aren't millions of people who will make a for sure hookup commitment with someone they've never actually met. Many will do a "I like what I see, and I think we'd probably click and hook up, why don't we meet and see what happens?", but there's no actual certain commitment in those situations, and Illinois to Utah would be a pretty long trip if it turned out to be for nothing. But many of those "open" events bar or restrict single males, and single males aren't usually terribly successful at the first few Meet N Greets they attend. The one way I can think of that it would likely work well is if you have a girl friend who'd like to swing who came to Utah with you. Most of us older swingers wish we had the open minds, you do, when we were your age. There are plenty of people that you can connect with both old and young, that don't pay attention to the age thing. With respect to being close friends, you will have factors like experience and maturity factors that come into play. You're at a different stage in your life than older people and more often than not, this can limit your interaction and ability to identify. That being said, you should keep going. Meeting new swingers? - Where to meet them? - I think this is a hard one. In a small town, there probably wouldn't be a local swingers club so you'd almost have to resort to hinting around at bars or social gatherings. Obviously, you don't want to just come out and say 'Hey, we're swingers, how 'bout you?' But maybe trying to converse with a couple you may be interested in and gradually throwing out a hint here or there may be a way of going about it. Feeling out the conversation without being too forward. Maybe try to create a normal friendship with the couple at first, then introduce conversation that hints to the wild side down the road.
