Who started it? - Who/How/How long? - Before we were in the lifestyle, we went to Hedonism. Nothing happened, but it started an itch that I knew I had to scratch one day if I could convince my wife. Years later at a vanilla party with friends and being drunk, I inadvertently mentioned we went to Hedonism. Our best friends picked up on that and asked if we were swingers. To our astonishment, they told us that they were in the lifestyle and encouraged us to consider it. A few months later, the wife and I went to Sea Mountain in Palm Springs and I told her that I wanted to watch her have sex with another guy. Later that day, she introduced me to a guy and stated that he would be the guy she would have sex with. So, it happened and I loved it. I told my friend who then helped me set up a profile on a swingers website and shortly afterwards, we met another couple from it for our first couples experience. The rest is history. Political Forum - POLL: Should we bring it into the rotation? - I think its quite cool that a rather large group of people find relatively common interests about sexual openness, sexual play, sexual fantasy etc... it's really cool that we share such an uncommon attitude about sex and yet we have such diverse opinions about Politics (and Religion) etc. Fascinating. Years ago before I knew anything about or anyone involved in swinging I would have guessed that there would have been a more common social thread among swingers but as was mentioned before, its probably a pretty good cross section... So, it seems to me that if we are trying to connect at a fun playful sexual level the last thing we would want to do is find ways to disagree and reasons to disconnect from people by having a special "top five" forum category that is one of the 2 most divisive topics on the planet. It's tough enough to find couples that we connect with at enough levels to be play-friends. So, I'd say, there are plenty of other places to fight about politics (or religion), we don't need it here and since you are asking for opinions here's mine: If you leave it in there will be some well thought out points made but it will be a source of argument, anger, and name calling... we've seen it before, just like anywhere else, people get ugly here too. If you take it out only a few will miss it. There are other places, plenty of them, to debate the un-win-able debates. This is a play place, a fun safe place to escape the mundane and intolerant mainstreamers. We don't need to create ways to find intolerance and anger within this community too. I want to know how sexy and fun you are not what your politics are... ARE THE LIFESTYLE SWING COUPLES MORE SPIRITUALLY INCLINED - - Great question, I don't think lifestyle people are more or less. I think it's normal number are and are not regardless of the lifestyle question. We have meet several swingers that continue to have issues with this. They feel that their beliefs in god don't allow for swinging. So at times they have major guilt issues with the lifestyle or even just being bisexual. I personally don't get into that line of thinking because I believe that if everyone is in agreement and no one is getting hurt or lied to; then there is no "sin" with exploring the lifestyle.

Forum Search - How does one correctly perform one? - Well... While I agree that this site is less friendly in a lot of areas, there are still a bunch of good qualities - the people. This still is and always has been the best Swingers site in Utah and its really reaching a lot of other states now. Log in Issue - I am not a robot - Yeah, if I didn't think it was ALL about Swingular trying to block any apps that they don't own I wouldn't worry about it that much (or whine apparently). But it's laughable that anyone would seriously think they're doing it to protect security on the site...at least as far as preventing hordes of unscrupulous spammers and/or Russian identity thieves from taking advantage of swingers. It wasn't all that long ago that you could Google your screen name and get directly into the site. But as long as I'm whining I'd LOVE it if Swingular would, like most other MODERN internet sites, block people from sending identical spammed e-mails to multiple members. It's not that hard to do. I know that might harsh the buzz of a few single dudes who are just too darned busy to personalize an e-mail to a specific couple and find the shotgun approach a far simpler way to get their brand out there (or at least shoot for a sexual ROI of 1% or so). At very least it would be cool if Swingular would (like a paid fitness site I'm on) have a little counter at the bottom of the page that tells me how many other members received an identical e-mail from the same person writing me. Of course other sites just save me the trouble and automatically send spammed e-mails directly to a separate spam folder. [em]Emo_96[/em]

Christain Swingers? - - From an earlier post on the same subject... I work in a church and know that most members here would frown upon the lifestyle. let me add that most of them are retired while I am in my late 20's. But a young minister that we had here, who left to head up another chruch, and I had a number of discussions about sex and whatnot. His opnion was that he didn't think God honestly cared what we did with our sex lives, that there were more important things to be concerned with. (as long as it doesn't negatively effect others) I'm not sure if it's a generation thing? My wife was rasied in a baptist church which seemed to be a "not talk about sex" kinda congregation, yet she and her family are very open in their discussions, some might say (me) a little too discriptive in their talks (like grandma and her new husband) but open none the less. My basic theology is that Jesus doesn't want you to live a life of repentance or guilt but rather that you enjoy all that life has to offer, and most importantly be decent and caring towards others, not necessarily in a sexual way but in a friendship helping way. The bottom line is that we all screw up from time to time, but don't dwell on it, learn from your mistakes, ask for forgivenness and move on to help others. With all that said I'll step down from my soapbox now
