Vegas - - We're going April 9th-11th. Don't know what is and isn't open but we're hoping to find a room at The Sands or The Landmark or maybe The Dunes. We also plan on checking out the Liberace and Elvis museums and hitting that tiger magic show and FINALLY seeing either Wayne Newton or Frank Sinatra in person. Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - i agree if the media changed the facts of the story, but i am sorry i don\'t agree with the post right above mine who was at the party and said that the kids were suppose to be in bed past midnight. I am 28 and male and if i was the 15 year old kid, i would have gotten a kick out of it, but i agree with him that it would be uncomfortable had i been with an 11 year old sister or with my parents...i mean i would have wanted to look but would have been embarrassed around the family...none of us should be telling paretns what time their kids should be going to bed on new years eve. when i was a kid, i would be out with my parents till 1 or 2 in the morning...i don\'t think we should be condoning the parents of those kids. I think the fault is completely at the hands of the hotel. they knew the swingers were going to be there, they shouldn\'t have had the soccer family there too, considering they had the party last year too and knew well in advance what was planned. I love swing parties, house nad clubs and otherwise, but i don\'t think we should blame parents for not having their kids in beds. the hotel should have warned the families...especially knowing that there would be a glass atrium that the swing party would be in...

The feeling we've gotten from chatting privately with people here is that a good percentage of swingers in Utah are indeed LDS, whether active or inactive. Appears too a good number are former LDS members cutting loose. With no judgement or disrespect to the LDS reading this, I find it fascinating.

We feel you handled the situation in " high road" fashion, and certainly gain our respect for having done so. To be there to back your wife up if "no" wasn't accepted, is not only proper, but is in fact the only way swinging can matain any civilized credability.
We also agree that violence is the absolute last option to chose. Going to the host of the party as was stated already is a very good idea.
We have been to several really large parties that were totally open to singles, and only one time was there ever a problem. The hosts were informed, and the violater was asked to leave by a group of the men ( host included), and that was the end of it.
It would be unfortunate if this one incident were to make you swear off all clubs or parties as they can be alot of fun in a totally different way than meeting a couple or a small dinner party can be ( although we certainly could understand you being skeptical about it).
