age versus pics - - We have always had pics with our profiles, and we don't mind letting people see who we are. We've never had any problems yet. We figure if someone sees us on a swingers website, they must be there for the same reasons we are, or they wouldn't be looking in the first place.
We have pictures from last week, and we have some from several years ago. I doubt if anyone could really tell the difference. We're one of those lucky couples who have looked the same for a long time. We feel that if our pics are an accurate view of what we really look like, it really doesn't matter how old they are. When You're Shopping the Scene... - - Yeah, it'd be kinda cool if there actually WAS some kind of universal accessory or a signal that swingers could use to ID each other out in the vanilla world. And many have tried over the years but nothing has ever really caught on (back in the day, more than a few women wore necklaces of an apple with a bite out of it). And even if something DID actually catch on, and people wore it or whatever to identify other swingers, how long do you think it would take for the internet to make that fairly common knowledge?
We went to a swinger's convention in San Diego a number of years ago. The group had taken over the entire hotel and property and nobody was allowed in without a special wristband. It took about 4 hours for most of the hotel staff to learn what those wristbands meant. By the next day, people at nearby hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers had heard the news and as you passed people they would glance at you and then immediately glance down at your wrist. By that evening, most of the swingers were becoming so self-conscious that they were attempting to hide the wristbands beneath watches and bracelets. A few even pulled them off their wrists, if they were loose enough, and then put them back on when re-entering the property.
So, as nice as it would be to know for sure who other swingers are, it would kinda defeat the purpose of what many of us state in our profiles...that we're discreet. I suspect that about 10% (if even) would wear a black ring and about 90% wouldn't for fear of being outed as swingers. YMMV

The vent! - Judgements, I'm so tired of them. - In the recent years I have changed, morphed even, into the person I am today. A swinger. Eccentric, confidant, secure, uninhibited, with a puissant sexuality. What I consider "out of the box!" Open, understanding, diverse.
Only within the last year have we dared to call ourselves "swingers" we decided together to change our lifestyle, to change our rules, to change our minds about how we regard each other as individuals.
What I have noticed as I have taken this quest into being a swinger, is how the people in and around my life are noticing this change, and reacting with judgements. They live by different rules than I do, they choose to, and yet they still judge.
Are these people just unhappy with themselves? Are they jealous? Why are they concerned?
I have failed to understand this. Why do they spew hate at me?(I call it emotional vomit) Shouldn't they be happy for me?
If these people are already having averse feelings about me and/or my behavior, how will they react to find out we are swingers?
I now know why some of swingers only associate with other swingers. To bad for us there are few to be found down here in the south.

We are at Treehouse. Yes, we have butlers there, but we call them "man-servants or "towel boys." Lol
Ironically we have never even been blinked at, let alone HIT on at the infamous "swingers gym." The staff is fastidiously careful to avoid even the slightest sexual comment or compliment. It's terrible. We just work out, throw up, and go home.
