Vegas next month - - we can only speak for what we like: zumanity and absinthe are fun and SEXY. copperfield: was great, chris angel = HORRIBLE carrot top: we've seen 3 times, and he updates his show regularly. you will be pleasantly surprised. gordy browne: we've seen 3 times funny and a great variety show any cirque' show is worth seeing, dress up and have a fun date night together. laugh factory & brad garrett's comedy clubs are fun, but really not any better than the cheaper ones you can find @ the discount ticket booths. free concerts on the weekend @ Fremont experience, + great place to people watch! you could go to any of the topless pools, but you DO have to pay to get in. best value is buying a lounger because it comes with food and drink. couples oasis: a private swingers club, huge variety of people that go artisan hotel is a fun and sexy boutique hotel, not well known, but a lot better than any of the swingers clubs. do NOT stay there if you want peace and quiet. western sahara: sex & stripper shops for fun & sexy clothing we go to vegas monthly because we live nearby, and we stay somewhere different each time. sometimes down town, sometimes on the strip, and sometimes @ a Hilton, or embassy suites. for us, we don't do the topless pools anymore. kinda a "been there, done that" thing for us. also because of the extra cost to get in. it's been over 4 years since we've been to couples oasis. but the rest of our opinions are very current. we discovered we are getting older, ouch!! we went to Omnia, and HATED the synth dance music. we prefer r&b and 80 & 90's rock and roll. to get in was $50.00, drinks were $17-22 each, water $7.00. go to Tao, the food is great, and when you are ready to dance, you bypass the long line outside by just going upstairs. if you don't get to vegas often, go to the strip, TONZ of things to see have extra time, go down town, go to pawn stars, vamped, capo's, etc..

Friends with out benefits? - Is it possible to find friends on here who dont want to fuck? - Actually this isn't that uncommon. We've been in the scene for a long time and have seen a lot of couples leave and then try to return and hang around the scene without actively participating because they like the thrill and excitement as well as hanging out with people who don't have a lot of hang ups and they don't have to censor themselves around. Unfortunately, in our experience, it hasn't seemed to work out too well in the long run. Not sure why, exactly. Maybe the real swingers don't want to hang out with people they can't potentially fuck or maybe the former swingers (or at least one of the couple) gets excited again and tempted to want to swing again or maybe it's some different reason altogether. Wish I could tell you how someone has made it work but it just doesn't seem sustainable. It's kind of like a motorcycle group I belong to. There was a guy who would show up at all of our meetings, hang out, talk about bikes, etc., but he didn't actually ride or even own a bike. Finally he stopped showing up because he found it harder and harder to engage the other guys in the group who actually ride. If you figure out a way to do it let me know. Lava is known as a local Idaho and Utah swingers destination and there are many there every weekend. The problem is you need to have your meet ups scheduled before arriving as it's almost impossible to sort the LS from the vanilla on site. Risqué Soiree held an event in Lava last spring that was very fun and well attended, we hope they do it again this year. It was a great event for those new to the LS or anyone wanting to meet friends. Also because it involved both Idaho and Utah there was a lot more interaction than many meet ups where people have a tendency to group up with those they already know. Lava is one of those places you will either fall in love with and visit often, or visit once to say you have been there and done that and never return. But one thing I can promise, and that is if your room is in Pocatello you'll never understand the nuances that make Lava so charming to many. If you want big fancy hotels and everything about your visit orchestrated you would be much better advised to spend your vacation in Vegas as you will not be happy in Lava. When You're Shopping the Scene... - - Yeah, it'd be kinda cool if there actually WAS some kind of universal accessory or a signal that swingers could use to ID each other out in the vanilla world. And many have tried over the years but nothing has ever really caught on (back in the day, more than a few women wore necklaces of an apple with a bite out of it). And even if something DID actually catch on, and people wore it or whatever to identify other swingers, how long do you think it would take for the internet to make that fairly common knowledge? We went to a swinger's convention in San Diego a number of years ago. The group had taken over the entire hotel and property and nobody was allowed in without a special wristband. It took about 4 hours for most of the hotel staff to learn what those wristbands meant. By the next day, people at nearby hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers had heard the news and as you passed people they would glance at you and then immediately glance down at your wrist. By that evening, most of the swingers were becoming so self-conscious that they were attempting to hide the wristbands beneath watches and bracelets. A few even pulled them off their wrists, if they were loose enough, and then put them back on when re-entering the property. So, as nice as it would be to know for sure who other swingers are, it would kinda defeat the purpose of what many of us state in our profiles...that we're discreet. I suspect that about 10% (if even) would wear a black ring and about 90% wouldn't for fear of being outed as swingers. YMMV
