Other activities? - Do you only meet swingers for sex? - 90% of the people we meet we meet for friendship only......... there are only 10% that we click with to go further. We think the open friendship is the best part of the lifestyle. Its nice to have friends for clubbing, camping, bowling, etc......... One\'s that aren\'t shocked at your behavior...LOL Our lifestyle friends are probably the best friends we\'ve ever had..... Must be what we have in common huh?

Ldscouple74 - Are there any active LDS couples here - LDS swingers? ...isnโ€™t thatโ€™s like an oxymormon lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - would love a place to go to where everybody knows my name 1. Would you attend a swingers club in Salt Lake? oh heck yeah! 2. If so, how often would you attend? bi-weekly, possibly weekly 3. What types of things would you like to see at the club? I.e., play rooms, dance floor, activities, etc. main=dance floor, pool tables, decent bar food, good mixed drink, regular bar atmosphere open to SF SM couples back room (champagne room) = strippers, private dancers open to SF SM couples private room (VIP lounge)= for play, participate or not open to SF couples 4. What types of things have you seen at other clubs that you liked/disliked? it has to look classy and be clean 5. What do you feel would be a fair entrance fee? membership fee for SF couples single males.. are not allowed membership, entrance granted or denied at time of arrival at the door non member, a standard cover charge that is comparable to other similar venues addtl fees to upgrade to the "champagne room" (where the strippers, private dancers are) slighty higher addtl fee to upgrade to the VIP lounge (playroom)

Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - Much of what has been said I agree with, but I do know poly couples in the lifestyle. Their swinging is a bit more complicated as far as the decision process because I would imagine that such a decision would need to be agreed upon by all partners involved. The biggest difference I think between regular swingers and those who are involved in poly relationships is while most people who swing would shun the development of emotional ties to other swingers thinking it would be the doom of their spousal (primary) relationship, those who are also involved in or those who are open to the possibility of poly relationships would welcome the development of additional relationships for what they are knowing there is neither a need to replace their spouse or run off with the person they have formed this new relationship with. It does add further complication to their life, but it can also enrich it tremendously. My .02 from an observers standpoint. -SG

Soft-core roll call - A call out to those interested in the softer side. -
Canvas, It sounds like you and your wife are not quite on the same page yet, which is quite normal at the beginning of exploring the Lifestyle. You are looking for friendships with those who are in a similar situation. That's a good idea, but be prepared that even those friendships may be fleeting as the chemistry or level of comfort may still be different. At the beginning of our lifestyle journey, my wife and I were just as you are today, (I was also at a different level as my wife too). TheFunCouple offers excellent advice on going to meet & greets. I also add that you might want to check out a place like Sea Mountain Inn in Palm Springs. There you can see how comfortable it is to be nude in front of others and witness all the different levels of the lifestyle. You will have opportunities to talk to others and learn more. There is no pressure to play. Plus, you will be out of Utah and away from people who might recognize you. If you are adventurous enough, maybe plan a vacation to Temptations Resort in Mexico. This resort is not truly a lifestyle resort but is a lifestyle friendly resort since so many non swingers go there. It still is a sexually charged resort. You will meet a lot of people who are similar to you there and you have a whole week to be relaxed, get into vacation mode, and explore your steps into the lifestyle together without judgement or pressure.
Thanks. I'm totally fine with my wife not wanting to be with another man. And she's ok with me being comfortable with another woman. So, not being on the same page doesn't cause issues as much as it adds to the challenges. Any way, I completely agree with you and TheFunCouple about meeting people in person, going to meet-and-greets, etc. That would be the best way to meet and get a feel for people. Two problems with that for us though: 1) We live in Podunk i.e., a long ways from Lifestyle events and 2) neither of us likes parties or any sort of large social gatherings. We're not hermits or socially awkward. It's just not our thing. I appreciate your post as well as the others.๐Ÿ‘

Younger couples - How hard is it for younger couples - i think in general there are less younger swingers because many of them havent reached a point where they are comfortable with the notion of "its just sex"

Event Ideas - Can we get more events that don't center around alcohol and dancing? -

How about pajama and lingerie porn night at the movies. The attendees come dressed for bed. Think a small Independent theater would be game?
Humph ... we TRIED to get a group to meet at the DRIVE INN theater on Riverdale Rd last year but I think we were the only ones that showed up ... NO ONE made an attempt at introductions at the vehicle we said we'd be in
Tee-hee, I'm picturing the mess left at a "small independent theater" after a swingers viewing of a porn show. How much do ya gotta pay someone to clean that one up? [em]Emo_85[/em] Then I'm picturing a porn pic being displayed on a Riverdale Drive in theater, wondering how long before the cops'd be there to bust it up 'cause of all the teenagers parked on that road out front trying to peer over the fence!! But seriously, that seems to be what I've noticed about some of the "alternate" events that get proposed -- seems like a good idea but no one shows up? It'd be fun to go to the drive-in though Trixiee, maybe we ought-a try that again when the season arrives. So does anyone know where I can get a cheap panel van?? [em]Emo_28[/em]

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - What did we expect? "Couple celebrates 15 Happy Years of Swinging, story at 10."? Gotta pimp yourself for those ratings, especially when the younger generation wouldn't be caught dead turning on a television to get their news. I wouldn't call that a balanced report by ANY stretch of the imagination. Could she not, in her lurking around this site, have found ONE couple to go on camera anonymously or otherwise to say that contrary to what this woman is saying, swinging has been great fun and enhanced their life as well as their marriage and helped them to communicate on a whole new level? That they know MANY couples who feel the same way and are happy, well adjusted people who work and raise their kids and contribute to their communities? Reasonable and balanced my hairy ass!
