We feel you handled the situation in " high road" fashion, and certainly gain our respect for having done so. To be there to back your wife up if "no" wasn't accepted, is not only proper, but is in fact the only way swinging can matain any civilized credability.
We also agree that violence is the absolute last option to chose. Going to the host of the party as was stated already is a very good idea.
We have been to several really large parties that were totally open to singles, and only one time was there ever a problem. The hosts were informed, and the violater was asked to leave by a group of the men ( host included), and that was the end of it.
It would be unfortunate if this one incident were to make you swear off all clubs or parties as they can be alot of fun in a totally different way than meeting a couple or a small dinner party can be ( although we certainly could understand you being skeptical about it).

At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - More people know than you think. We have two small kiddos and so mums the word around them, but as for adults well we don't tell anyone except the vibe we throw off to the univeres is contantly comeing back. Hell we don't even know we are throwing it, but We surely are even other swingers in Wal Mart, Gas stations anywhere and more and more we notice them too and then confirm it with them. I Don't Care if You LIKE Me... Let's F**K! (???) - - We are not a "friends first" couple but the attraction has to be there personality-wise too. We totally agree about friendships in the lifestyle. We didn't enter it to make a bunch of new friends but wow, some of our best friends are swingers. What a great, unexpected benefit!
Most of the people we are friends with we have not fucked. For some the personality attraction is there, for others the physical... and we need both. We even have some friends that are physically attractive to us, have personalities that make us very good friends, yet the sexual chemistry just seems awkward for whatever reason.
Another odd observation of ours has been that a less physically attractive person becomes very attractive an fuckable with the right personality, but a very physically attractive person is sexually repulsive to us if they are an asshole.
We have probably slept with less than 10% of our close friends in the swing community. Everyone we did play with did not end up a friend but not because we didn't like them. Sometimes it's just a matter of not having time to build a relationship and friendship not being a pre-requisite for us.
I guess, long story short, for us to fuck you we need to like you, but just because we like you doesn't mean we will end up being friends... if any of that makes sense to anyone but us. lol.

The Swingular community is actually growing...bigtime. Hence the increasing number of events being posted. And yes..most are paid events...for a couple of reasons..to actually pay for the cost of an event..and plain old capitolism. Welcome to America. No real problem.
House parties...are alive and well. But...because of the increased number of folks here, things have changed from before. Now, if you post one here..you have a bunch of people respond..most likely too many...some must be told no....hard for most of us to do. Consequently..hosts have become a bit more selective.. and send personal invites..rather than general announcements. Basically...house parties have moved underground. And hosts have become more selective about just inviting particulair age groups, or body types. That leaves many of us out. I know our email box is empty most of the time, unless it is us hosting the party.
Just my opinion of course..yours maybe different!
I think you are right on...we have learned to be very comfortable with the friends we have, and really don't worry about parties that we are or are not invited to...or none at all...I mean the hottest chick on the planet is Ms Karma so...why worry!
