Serious questions from a newbie.. - - It's never happened to us or anyone we know (that we know of) For many Swingers we trust only people in the lifestyle to know that we are Swingers, but still have to be cautious of who can gain that trust. Us too! We love friends! The more the merrier . . . IF we play . . . That is a bonus. As to collecting friends in our friends list . . . Not so much. Though we have certainly accepted friend requests from people we have yet to meet, we ONLY accept friend requests from people we would LIKE to meet . . . And . . . We frequently clean out our friends list when it becomes clear we will never meet. If the practice of looking for people in the LS to meet and be friends with is a bad thing . . . Color us guilty! We have no plans on changing that.

There are certainly some things to look at and make sure we won't have too many problems. I think there are a number of ways to get around any issues. What happens on a private residence is up to those who own the property. I think this is one of the reasons it would have to be a private club, members only. What consenting adults choose to do isn't illegal in a venue like a club any more than it is illegal in a private residence. The trick, as I understand it, is that the venue cannot be a public venue because then you run into public exposure and indecency laws. I could be wrong, and I would have to find someone who understands these kind of laws... the question is... who would actually know... lol.
You are correct, there will certainly be some challenges, but I think they can be worked through.
As for your idea of renting a house or something like that, I have thought about the same thing and it may be a good idea. Not a fix for what is needed in a club, but it is a start.

Are we really as judgmental as vanilla people? - - Yes, many in the lifestyle are as judgmental as those outside. I am 15 pounds overweight but to some I am as broad as a battleship. What's more, after 34 years of marriage, 24 of which were in the lifestyle, my wife died. All of a sudden I was persona non grata at the club we attended because single males were not allowed. I had not changed, only my marital status. I have been pilloried and shunned because of being lumped with the FEW young single guys who don't have a clue. Now I have 3 strikes: I'm old, I'm slightly overweight, and single. I've learned these last 9 years that swingers can be just as cruel, predjudiced and uncaring as other people. What keeps me going is all those swingers who truely accept me as I am.:z
