I guess my point is that if other swingers were the only people on here, it wouldn't matter. However, this is and open website that excepts anyone temporarily and anyone permanently with enough cash. You got it Blue! but understand about 95% of occupations dont have a risk of income loss if they are found out. some can even get more biziness. Many folks dont have kids that they worry about being teased at school (worse case). Many folks have been outcast by family and their friends would not be surprised at all or are on here too. If a couple seems to need to be discreet we like that.... If you have face pics in the public we will never be going on a date with you! that is for sure!
Do you mix your vanilla and lifestyle friends? - - We tell anyone who is a late night friend, ie: serious friend, vanilla or not that we have an alternative lifestyle. It has made things so much easier. Our vanilla friends are closer. We make it very clear that we don't have any interest in sex with them for concerns about ruining what is a already a good relationship. I am not talking, work vanillas, they don't need to know. I am talking about people with whom we go dancing or bar hopping. Why lie about who you really are? The whole reason for jumping the hurdle that is the "lifestyle" is to be free with who you really are. Then you are supposed to hide it with people who are supposed to really care about you? Nope.
Because of this, it is really cute when we throw a party or get together. The vanillas spend the whole time excitedly trying to guess who the swingers are. Most of the time it doesn't take much to guess. This reminds me of what got us started on this course. We threw a mostly vanilla roller skating party with some vanilla friends. They invited a whole bunch of people and we invited a whole bunch of people. We invited 3 couples who were swingers who did not know or probably didn't care to hide what they were. Here's a quick anecdote to prove my point. We went to a lifestyle resort hotel takeover in San Diego a number of years ago. The entire property was closed to anyone who didn't have an official wristband. It took all of about 2 hours for the entire resort staff to figure out what the wristbands meant and until the next day for everyone at nearby businesses and hotels to figure it out. People at the takeover quickly noticed that people at nearby stores and restaurants were actively looking for the wristbands and would look and point it out to others. Most of the attendees quickly started slipping off their wristbands or hiding them under watches or scrunchies and such. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Profiles? - - I think for most of us that live outside of the greater Salt Lake area its about location. We live in Southern Utah, which is a swingers wasteland.
Do people even read profiles? I think they just look at pics and if they like what they see they may read part of your profile, but not really pay attention to it.
I think in light of Mr Uthot's advice I may need a profile makeover too! Ours is as generic as the next one, but nobody really reads it anyway, except to pick at it when I post a controversial thread in the forum, then they read every word, mix it up and spew it back at me!
