"LDS" Profile Names - - Maybe I'm being bad but I've heard an argument that the LDS folks were the original swingers!

We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - sorry for your bad experience crunk hope you have better luck, I wonder how many people really believe that it is ok to treat people like this?

Bi-Sexuality - A question for the girls of swingular -

So it's a BENCH of single males and what, a swarm of swingers? "Mayhem" sounds WAY more descriptive, by the way, from everything you've told me. [em]Emo_49[/em]
For swinger men, it's a pestilence.
Does that encompass the entire spectrum? Married and single? Or does one demographic embody that term? Just curious in case I want to be incensed...or even outraged! [em]Emo_25[/em]

New Forum Rules - No Censorship, No Moderation, Just a Few Rules -

Rob, The Don

Very good move. Most popular public forums on the web have moderators that keep it above the belt. I am a "levels of force" kinda person. I usually keep it in the "smack talk" region until someone pulls out the big guns and says something that totally insults me, my service to the country, my way of life etc. Then I think it's fair to defend myself. I was never one to tolerate bullies Forum moderation is a good think as long as you are not dinged on everything you say. If done in moderation itself, I think it's key in a happy community. After all, not all of us will agree all of the time. Any good community has a police system in place. Some of us do not hold themselves to a moral believe system (dogma). What it "proper etiquette" to some, may not be to others. We are a culturally & sexually diverse, multi-faceted, large gamut of unique individuals. Each of us even differ from our spouses/significant others (if that applies). Can you you say you never argue with your spouse? Can you say you have never said anything brash to anyone? Were you apologetic to those you did not like? I think most reasonable individuals would say yes to most of those and no to the last one. What is more likely, is that they chose to avoid contact with that person. Everyone here has a choice to involve themselves in the conversations that happen here. For instance, if you were to post in a "GAY MARRIAGE" thread and post your opinion as to why an adult of clear mind and total consent, should not be allowed to enter into legal marriage with another adult of any sex, they so chose because of your own personal moral system. You are then adamant about holding to you view no matter how many time you are told that there is a seperation of church and state and that the "sanctity of marriage, between a man and a woman" is that of religious code and does not apply to the legal system, as it is unconstitutional. Yet you still wish to force your law on the rest of society because your upbringing told you that homosexuality is wrong and that marriage is not meant for gays. If this applies to you, then you are not reasonable and the only way I wish to deal with unreasonable people is to tell them to fuck off. I am saying you don't have the right to avoid homosexual marriage for youself? NO! I am saying you don't have the right to choose for others. I guess what I am saying is that many of you don't want to hear anyone say anything that differs from your own little world, yet you are swingers. Many of you think one -way and don't want to hear something that turns your belief system on it's head. If you can not respect or tolerate diversity I have no respect for you. I will not respect your beliefs, rights or opinions if you will not afford everyone else the same. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SEW. I vow, from hence forth, to do my best to be civil to everyone here. I expect the same from all of you. I can play nice with you, if you play nice with me. Remember, if you disrespect me, I will definetly return the courtesy :-) Thanks Rob. Thank you for proving that forum moderation can be a good thing.

Lack of Communication - Is it really that hard? - I've been thinking about this thread (and other's like it...they seem to come along every few months or so, along with the ones about whether or not condoms are a good idea or whether we're just caving to the big latex conglomerates) and I have a few additional thoughts. First, many (most?) emails we receive seem to have about as much thought put into them as one might put into which side of their hamburger to start eating on. If they aren't spammed out to multiple people the senders, at very least, don't seem to have the verbal capacity to write anything beyond, "We seen yer add and wanna put our naughty bits in yer naughty bits." [SIC] Is it that hard to include a little tidbit or two about WHY you think we might be a good match for you and why we would want to take time out of our busy lives to meet with you? And the few that DO contain more than a generic greeting or poorly thought out pick up line have obviously not read our profile (don't necessarily blame them...takes a minimum of a couple of hours to slog through) and don't know what we are and are not looking for. For Christ's sake, give us at least ONE compelling reason why you think we'd like to meet you such as, "We love fisting out stuffed ferrets too and also worship Satan as our lord and master. Let's have coffee." Second, when did we all become such Tender Heart Care Bears? And why do we necessarily feel entitled to a response to a more often than not spammed out email from people wanting to perv our locked pics? I've only written back to that nice Nigerian prince like ten or fifteen times before I finally got tired of him asking for my checking account number. Do you call back every carpet cleaning company that leaves a message on your voice mail? Do you send a nice polite note back the the guy who's running for president for the Violent Tyrannical Dictator Party and wants you to donate to his campaign fund? I mean, he was even nice enough to send you a self addressed stamped envelope. So maybe put a little thought into your solicitations. Give people a compelling reason to write you back beyond, "OMG, you're swingers? We're swingers too. We should totally fuck!". This goes double for single guys. Read the profile...even if you have to do it over two or three nights and use a dictionary to look up the big words. Take note of what people are and aren't looking for and especially if they mention your particular demographic. And last but not least, Don't worry about it if someone doesn't write you back. For all you know they've just survived a horrific bumper car accident at Lagoon or maybe they're 2 days in to binge watching all nine seasons of Matlock and haven't eaten or slept for two days. If you're consistently not getting any responses to your emails maybe you're fishin' in the wrong pond. Take a good long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly if Angelina Jolie REALLY would like to fuck you or if you're more likely to hit it off with Steve Buscemi or Nick Nolte. "Can't Say No" Party - Who'd be interested in coming? - Mrs LPA69 and I have been talking about hosting a "Can't Say No" party at our home in Lindon UT. The idea comes from when we were investigating some foreign swingers clubs. There was one in South Africa that advertised a "can't Say No" room. If you went into the room, you could not turn down a request from someone else in the room, unless their request would be a health hazard (eg bareback intercourse). The idea intrigued us both (okay, me more than her, but she likes the idea). If we host such a party, it would be a little different from the South Africa swingers club. We suggest that it work this way. 1. We would have 10 couples maximum come to our house. We would advertise the party to everyone on Swingular, because it would be fun to have some couples we didn't know in attendance, just to make it more exciting. 2. We'd take a little time to drink, snack, and mingle while we were getting to know everyone else a little. During the mingle time, the two in each couple could talk about who they were interested in or not. 3. The women would all get together in private, and discuss amongst themselves who they were each willing to play with, what they were willing to do, etc. 4. Everyone would get back together, and for the next hour or so, each woman would tell her man what to do with whom, and the man could not say no. 5. After a break, the men would all get together in private, and discuss who they were each willing to play with, what they were willing to do, etc. 6. Everyone would get back together, and for the next hour or so, each man would tell his woman what to do with whom, and the woman could not say no. That's all the rules. The party could be as wild as those in attendance wanted to make it. Obviously it would be critical for each couple to state clearly their feelings to their own partner during Step 2, because after that, you can't say no to your own partner's instructions (but you're not obligated to do something that another person asks you to do). You'd have to really trust your own partner, wouldn't you? We'd like to know how many of you couples would be interested in that kind of party. The earliest we could host it would be New Year's Eve (or maybe in January), but we'd like to get an idea now as to the interest level. L&P
