Early on, when looking into swinging, I visited another forum. A couple posted a picture of themselves with the caption, "We did it!" Their shirts were off and they were facing away from the camera. A few people posted that they didn't get it. The OP explained that they got upside down pineapples tattooed on their backs so other swingers would know they were in the lifestyle. No one knew what they were talking about. It was sad cause at first they joked that it was a well known sign, but person after person chimed in that they had never heard of it. Some people who had been in the lifestyle over ten years said they'd never heard of it.

Ways to point out Swingers in public - - My wife bought me a super cool chevron stack ring (3 rings that stack together) by David Yurman. The middle ring is black. I wear it on my right hand and sometimes pull the 2 silver rings off and just wear the black middle ring. I’m always on the look out for black rings. We have some friends that wear them.
All About Utah - Discussion on why swingular has such a large Utah presence - I found out about this site word of mouth, so really, anywhere you put swingers in a room talking they are gonna do some word of mouth advertising, I have even done my own since joining. Boise swingers? - Any out there? - Try "Swing LifeStyle" (SLS). Since we are closer to Boise than where most Swingular folks seem to reside (Utah), we thought we'd give it a try. It looked promising and we were told Boise has a good number of folks in the lifestyle. However, upon noticing that SLS membership was more costly than Swingular (which we had already paid), we decided not to pursue. That may change though. It's been challenging for us... and the distance between us and the Utah folks make it more so.
