What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? - To everyone, and no one in particular, The reason I have asked this question was not to insult any one's rules, or chastise as some seem to have taken it, AGAIN. I have asked this because our rules have changed and even lightened. As we get deeper into the lifestyle we have given up alot of our original rules and now they are more like guidelines. (I don't know if any of you remember the beating I took in the forum for having a no kissing rule, but after abandoning it I still have yet to find another man I can kiss passionately, just doesn't do it for me I guess.) I am still wondering why this is such a popular rule. It seems there are many who have the "No friends, No play rule." I am only curious as to why. I do not think anyone owes anyone sex, I don't think that everyone should fuck on the first date, I am simply curious. We are very secluded in the south, and are limited as to options of swingers to befriend. A great deal of you Northern Utah swingers have this "No friends, No play rule," out of respect for your rules I can't hardly send you an email asking if you want to hookup this weekend as we are only going to be in town Friday, and have a life to get back to on Saturday. Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - We both have black rings and have worn them in public and to places like Habits, etc.. And we've done this off and on for well over 10 years (when we first became aware of what seems to be more or less a swinging urban legend). To date we have NEVER been approached by another couple and asked if we were swingers or anything close to it. Maybe we're just fugly and nobody wants to fuck us but the whole black ring thing is a big FAIL IMHO. Even if it ever did catch on it probably wouldn't take more than a few days to a few weeks for it to get out on social media, etc., and everyone would be looking for swingers with black rings in public (not unlike times we've gone to takeovers and had to wear wrist bands and it quickly got out to hotel staff, other guests, etc. that people wearing wrist bands were there for a swinger event). Most people (not all) involved in swinging really don't want their vanilla friends, family or coworkers...or even strangers to know they're swingers. Most vanillas pretty much classify swingers as worse people than Ashley Madison cheaters and used car salesmen. Much easier in our opinion to "meet" people at dedicated meet and greets or parties or here and other places online than to hope for serendipitous encounters out in public.

I wonder why Heinlein's books were never made into movies most are quite good. C.S. Lewis, Athur C Clark, Asimov all super writers. Martian Chronicles, SG, SG Atlantis... Too many to mention... The day the Earth Stood Still with Michael Rennie...Rocketman Seriels in the movies from the 40's and 50's. Who remembers Rocky's Rocket Rangers from 50's TV brought to you by Ovaltine and if you sent so many jar seals into the show you could get the decoder ring for the secret messages..... Sci Fi has been predictive of future events for so long...Lazers, Rocket ships, Rocket packs, And a statement in Forbidden Planet; " the taped thrillers of the 20th century" Filmed in Eastman Kodac color and in 1956 or maybe 65 but long before video tape was available...The special effects were awsome ...no computer generated things.... And the landing scene... note the shadow and the bubbliing earth and dust.....all hand done animation. And Robbie the robot... a mechanical wonder for it's day... Swingers would and probably love Heinlein... Stranger in a Strange Land and Time Enough for Love.... Can't get enough Sci Fi...

Phoenix police have busted a church called the Phoenix Goddess Temple, alleging that it was actually a front for prostitution. According to CNN, authorities claim churchgoers received sexual services in exchange for "donations." Twenty men and women have been arrested in regard to the church's practices of so-called "neo-tantric" healing; police are still seeking 17 more individuals. What makes this case so interesting is, if the allegations are true, the great lengths of planning undertaken to skirt the laws against prostitution. People tend to believe the First Amendment serves as a blanket protection of religious groups, shielding them from the general laws of the state when laws and beliefs are in conflict. Unfortunately for this group, that interpretation of freedom of religion does not always hold true. Glenn Hudson, a club owner in Dallas with the same perspective, also tried to get creative, calling his alleged nightclub/drug den a "spiritual organization," reports CBS News Dallas/Fort Worth. After his bust for running an unlicensed dance club, he claimed it was actually a youth outreach program, getting the young people of Dallas engaged with their spirituality through dance. Meanwhile, four undercover visits by police yielded 15 separate drug buys. But the Fenix/Darkside wasn't Hudson's only supposed religious group. He also owned a spiritual organization/swinger's club called The Playground, where people could allegedly watch pornography and have sex. The Playground garnered the city's attention for being housed in a building with a "certificate of occupancy for a church, mosque or synagogue." Dallas ordered both clubs permanently closed. Such creativity in using freedom of religion to shield a group from law enforcement can have tragic results. In a much darker example, polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs sought the protection of freedom of religion to avoid consequences for his abuses of children . His lawyers argued before his trial and he now claims in his motion for a new trial that his "marriages" to children as young as 12 were protected by the Constitution, according to Reuters. Jeffs was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Religion is addressed in the first clause of the Bill of Rights for good reason. The framers of the Constitution knew what harm religious tyranny caused, and how the beliefs of the minority could easily be trampled by the majority. But trying to hide unsavory acts under the mantle of freedom of religion is an affront to all Americans, the religious and the non-religious. The religion clause is meant to protect that which is most personal, most fundamental: the individuality of a belief system. While arguments like those of the Phoenix Goddess Temple; The Playground; and, particularly, Warren Jeffs, wave the banner of religious freedom, the claims are hollow. Worst of all, manipulation of the spirit of the religion clause is an abuse of the gift of a freedom once unknown in the world.
