LDS Swingers Survey - Will any former/active LDS swingers take my survey? - Done, looking forward to the results, probably no surprises though

Gym locations again 2018!!! - Which gyms are you guys at? -
I’ve heard of treehouse. Is it true you guys have butlers? 😂
We are at Treehouse. Yes, we have butlers there, but we call them "man-servants or "towel boys." Lol Ironically we have never even been blinked at, let alone HIT on at the infamous "swingers gym." The staff is fastidiously careful to avoid even the slightest sexual comment or compliment. It's terrible. We just work out, throw up, and go home.

Ugly people and swinging - - A few years ago we met our first "swingers." They were in their 50's, overweight, and not attractive. We eventually met more of their friends who were equally overweight and not attractive. They were always trying to entice us to participate in their "swinging" activities. It seemed as if all these couples lost interest in each other and just wanted some other person besides their own partner to fuck. They were always looking to trade up and we were the outcasts for not participating. The overweight ugly people always hide behind "inner beauty" and "connection." Sorry, I don't get it. My girl doesn't get it even more than me. I'm aware that ugly people need love too. It's great when two ugly couples can come together and eventually....come together. You know who you are. Or at least others know who you are. Attraction is everything in this lifestyle. Standards vary not only from couple to couple but person to person. Think about it: It's absolutely amazing that you found someone that isn't completely disgusted by you and vice versa. The odds of finding another couple that BOTH of you are into are astronomical. I think a lot of people in this lifestyle just "settle" for what's available, in turn lowering the collective standard. Don't be afraid to reject a couple if one of them is unattractive. Your partner will appreciate this.

Black Rings - Do Swingers really? -
We came across a piece of jewelry that is supposed to identify lifestyle participants that can be worn as a bracelet, necklace, anklet or pin. Its the shape of a heart combined with the infinity sign. We had one special made for Cyndi and when asked by vanilla people, we simply responded it stood for our love forever for each other. It was not long after we noticed another friend and neighbor wearing something similar. They had found it on a jewelry sight that caters to the lifestyle. Our friends are so vanilla they have no idea what they stumbled across. It seems there really is no for sure sign until you start swapping or taking your clothes off.
Interesting. This sounds just like the Polyamory symbol. I'll say, I've never been approached whether I've been wearing a black ring, polyam symbol, pineapple, buying the store out of unicorn cereal/merch, or otherwise, unless I've been at a lifestyle event. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

Do your friends and family know about your lifestyle? - - I found this thread timely, as I just had my first "scare" with being found out by my snooping sister. Instead of typing in Myspace.com she decided to go to the history of our computer and came across Swingular. Curiousity won and she went there, where the opening page shouts "Swingers". She promptly came into the family room where the rest of the family was engaged in prebirthday celebrating and said "anything new?" staring right at me. I of course had NO clue what she meant, to which she proceeded to ask if we were swingers. The only thing that made everyone else in the room tune out is that she started ranting about how 'ever since she's moved she's out of the loop and all hell's broken loose... I sell sex toys, my brother drinks, my sister's stopped going to church (can I call her a self righteous bitch?) Probably good to note here that we all grew up Mormon and now four of the five kids have shaken off the brainwashing in adulthood... thankfully we all just ignored her and I made up some line about my girlfriend having me look up some guy she was dating and dropped it. I spent the rest of the day with my insides in a knot wondering just how much she saw... the saved usernames, did she enter the site and look around? Needless to say that night we removed our public photos and I was in a panic. By morning my panic had turned to rage. Why did I feel the need to run and hide, why should I need to defend myself?! My hubby and I have been married for going on 16 years, 7 of which have been spent in the lifestyle. We are the happiest we've ever been. Our vanilla friends, who have no clue that we practice sex as a team sport, all ask us what our secret to such a happy marriage is. They can see that we have something special. Needless to say, I put the pics back up on the profile the next day. Let 'em look for us. I love my life, I love the sex that is a big part of it, and I wouldn't change a thing. I'm still not standing up at family parties to announce my choices, but I wouldn't stand up and talk about my marital bed anyway. What I do naked is my business and my husbands, that's what counts. I'm proud to be in such a committed and honest relationship. They should all try it! Maybe they'd use less prozac and smile more often! Tricia btw, I feel grateful that I have 2 friends outside of the lifestyle that know what we do. They are valuable to me and prove that they are true friends leaving the rest as just 'people we know' Besides, having a wingman now and then is helpful! Thanks for sharing in my babble...

Now that you're one of them there fancy swingers... - -
...are your sexual expectations/requirements much higher than they were before you decided to participate in this little hobby of ours? Is the simple variety in sexual partners alone enough to satisfy your inner freak or have you found yourself to be much less tolerant of mediocre sexual skills and now only want to play with people who are extremely adept in the sexual arts? Or do you just jerk off a lot? [em]Emo_12[/em]
I'd love to contribute something equally witty...but who could ever compete with Mr Evil? So..guess I'll just stick to the questions... Higher expectations or requirements?. Nope. Came into this lifestyle just to have fun and that's all I still expect. Fun to me is just hanging around such free thinking girls...allowing me to share in their pleasures...whether it's with me...or not. Doesn't matter. I'm happy just to be in the game. Sexual skills are definately appreciated when shared with me!! But not required...nope. I honestly do enjoy just being around a girl who is sharing her own sexuality. It's like a peek into a forbidden world to me. How could I ever complain? I know..I'm wierd. But sometimes...I DO just like to F*ck! And THOSE girls are especially appreciated! Does that help? As for jerking off? Nope...not with Ms TiffnD around! I have a hard time keeping up with her as it is~!

A paradigm shift - polyamory - Your thoughts? Here are mine... - This is a big big topic... good one. It is true to say that an amazing thing about being human (thank any God figure you'de like :)) is that we have an INFINITE capacity to love. It is most obvious in women but exists in us all. I understand all of the comments about walking a path together, finding the one and only, etc and that is a great way to live but the fact is, we can love more than we do. We can choose to want to be with a certain person more than any other but we can love many. The easiest way to show this is that when a child is born they make the parents feel as if they could never love like they do this first beautiful child but when others come along what we experience is an expansion of our capacity to love. It is limitless. As mothers and parents can love many children so can we all love many others. We dont need to, some dont want to, but some feel it is a natural and Godly way to live. The biggest obstacle to it is jealousy or feelings of ownership which Swingers have largely learned are "lower thinking" attributes and, at least as far as the physical goes, they are beyond jealousy etc (of course I mean the healthy ones). Big Love is a real deal. It scares many people, even swingers but it is the next and logical progression in the more enlightened thinkers out there, which many swingers are. We swingers have at least tackled the threat that comes from "physical" sharing but many are scared to death to hear their loving sharing spouse express feelings of love for another man or woman. A great book on this topic is "The Future of Love" by Daphne Rose Kingma. It's excellent. Im sure this idea (polyamory) is not for everybody but it is natural and can be as rewarding and freeing as swinging is I'm told...(Jealousy, guilt and ownership are unnatural 'learned' behaviors). I already know I cant be 'everything' to my loving partner but am I strong enough to allow her "love" someong else? Oh wait... is that really my decision? Thats my 2 cents... Dave

LDS Survey Results - - Wow.... just wow. I would have hoped that since we have all made the decision to swing and embrace the lifestyle, that people would be accepting of one another. Does it really matter if someone is Mormon? Is it truly necessary to bash someone's religion to that extent? There should be no place or tolerance for that here. My husband and I are active LDS, and I am not ashamed to say so. We both attended BYU and we have no guilt. We took a marriage prep class in college and the teacher told us that whatever happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom. As long as both parteners are comfortable with what is going on and nobody is being degraded, it's all good. We view extra partners as a sex toy... nothing more. We keep our lines of communication open, we only play when our marriage is strong and we are not having any disagreements. It has actually saved our marriage and we are doing better than we ever have before. We both hold prominent callings in our ward. I thought this survey was very interesting... we haven't had much opportunity to meet other LDS swingers in so.cal (though we hear they do exist), so seeing the experiences and beliefs of others elsewhere is very nice.
