Vegas Jan 14-16 - Any sugestions on clubs or parties? - We were just in Vegas for the week of Dec 19 and I had asked around. I was referred to a new website specializing in \"what\'s going on around Vegas\" - specifically of the naughty variety. It is new, so I don\'t know how good it is, but it *seems* to have some \"inside scoop\". Take a look at: http://www.americanlowlife.com Meanwhile, I might share my list of \"50 things to do in Vegas\" - but they are mostly personal-level things like *) Shave each others\' genitals *) Go clothes shopping and take naughty photos in the dressing rooms *) Rent a Segway on the Strip *) Sneak around the hotel halls naked *) Enjoy the \"duelling piano\'s\" bar at Harrah\'s: Twin women pianists belting out all of the songs that the crowd loves singing along with *) Try \"Fusia\" at Luxor: \"Asian Fusion\" food: really-good food with a twist. Expensive, but a really-great culinary experience *) Stay away from MOST shows: they just aren\'t worth your time or money - particularly the \"titty shows\": It is ironic that Vegas has the reputation for \"naughty\" but the laws prevent full nudity anywhere in the city - so most of the shows are really tame - for swingers. We\'ve tried \"Skin Tight\" at Harrah\'s and \"Night Fantasy\"(?) at Luxor. They were... yawn. If you\'re going to go to any show - see if you can get half-price tickets the day of the show - there are now 4 or 5 half-price ticket booths around Vegas. Many shows are worth *half* the normal price. *) Drive out to Valley of Fire and run around the gorgeous, huge Red Rocks - naked - and take pictures of each other and make love. This time of year it will be *cold* - but that just means that you\'ll have it more to yourself. *) Dress up really sexy and go out just walking around: enjoy dressing as outrageously as you dare - see-thru, low-cut, etc - and just wander around - or even go gambling and see how many heads turn when you lean over the craps table to place your bets. OK. Again. I\'ve got a list of about 50 such things. If you\'re interested, ask me. Sigh. I DO love Vegas.

Swingers Party - Doesnt mean who ever is there is open to everyone elsa - After 11+ years swinging I would have let my wife handle it he way. One should never. at any swinging event, be it a house party or a social, ever come to blows with anyone at that party. You can say something to the person who encroached on good manners but if that has no effect or the person wishes to become violent, go to the owners/people throwing the event and let them know... If the bad manners continue simply let the people throwing the event know that you are leaving and for what reason....If these people are not responsible you might wish to let others know that these events are unsupervised and good ediquite is not practiced there.... But let the people who threw the event what you think first... they may take care of the situation, knowint that their reputation is on the line....One does not have to be nasty either just let them know you think it is irresponsible to let that behavior continue... The no fighting rule or no violence is one of the unnumbered rules of swinging.

Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? - tried dp and dvp both very explosive if done correctly we dont do it all the time but when we do its a treat for sure !!! ;-)

Mexico! Come with us!!! :) - Trying to put together a group of Swingers to go to Mexico with us! - I'm sure anyone on our friends list got the previous email about our trip to Mexico and wanting to put a trip together in the spring. If you didn't, well that's the gist of it! Our availability would be between May 9th-17th. Probably thinking 4-5 nights (we have a little one at home so that makes it hard for us to leave for too long) but I'm sure any of you that wanted to could stay longer/shorter could do that. We would probably plan one big group excursion (we did sailboating, snorkling, parasailing and shopping all in one excursion for one day for only $135 total for both of us combined and that wasn't even a group rate) to do one of the days and maybe the bar hopping one night? Other than that there are tons of other excursions to do, or lets face it laying around in the pool with the swim up bar sounds pretty amazing too! So if you are interested in joining us for an awesome vacation (we promise it will be one you NEVER forget!) please email me back. If you have Facebook let me know that too so I can give you the link to the resort and you can check out their fan site and also all our pictures from our trip. Otherwise here is the main website http://www.secretsresorts.com/ Start dreaming of sand, all inclusive amazing food and drinks, ocean-view swim up rooms, and 90 degree weather! -Erica and Ross

Sturgis 2009 - - We will be passing through Missoula on the way, but will not be stopping at the Testy Festy; but we are definately interested in meeting up with fellow SOBs (swingers on bikes) on the way.

BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - as for your children seek professional help comprehensive Evaluations by children and family therapist this is not a joke ! this is no.1 a reason for children to commit suicide it happens alot to adopted children and to children who get up one day and doubt as if their parents are actual the real parents as for swinging the children may have now found evidence that the father is not the real father , thay are now in abuse and in need of help. {all i can tell you all here this is one of my professions i have worked with gov. agency for years } FOOTNOTE: for all parents that have children that Browse the net for your sake remove any I.D. photos of yourself that your child can see !!! in your profile add "lets chat on web cam" it is safe and you will get the best results.

does anyone else go through periods of doubt? - as to whether this lifestyle is what they want? - This is a 'lifestyle' and there are many different types of people in it. The definition of a swinger has changed drastically and the description you provided still falls into that definition. A lot of people choose this lifestyle because of it's openness and sexual energy. You don't have to have sex with everyone you meet to be a swinger or be in the lifestyle. Selectivity is a virtue and you have the right. Most swingers rarely hook up with others until they find the 'right' situation. But that doesn't make you less of a swinger than those who do every weekend. Remember, to each his own!

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

Poly ideas - Ethical non-monogamy...I like that label. - A few other "Poly Ideas" we have had...a beach resort for swingers called "Poly Shore". Jeans with special condom holders made exclusively for the lifestyle called "Poly Pockets". A full time art school for swingers run by "Leave it to Beaver's" Tony Dow,called "Poly Wally Doodle all the Day" . The high end grocery store/basketball arena for lifestylers called "Poly Pavilions". But it turns out it was just a slightly nicer "Poly Vons" grocery store/basketball arena. And lastly a white supremisist lifestyle dating site called "Poly want a Cracker".

Are swingers moral? - Who determines what morals are? -
I was raised to believe that morality and the law are the same thing. People, in LDS society anyway, seem to profess that being moral is obeying the law and that is what they teach their children in church. I have always assumed that other religions do the same thing. But what seems to be said here is that swingers feel that the law has little or nothing to do with morality and that we are perfectly willing to break the law for our own pleasure. Is that what we are saying here.
Depends on what you are considering law. I think even in the LDS tradition there is an understand that God's law is higher than man's or governments law. A large part of the controversy of LDS polygamy comes because it was in disobedience to the law. Where church leaders believed that following their religious conviction was more important then what U.S. law said. But if you are taking some overarching moral law, like Kants categorical imperative then maybe. I think most swingers have the same ends in mind and no is being used as a means for an end. However that being said, I think most swingers seem to follow a more utilitarian guideline that pleasure is good and what promotes pleasure is good.
