Couples Copulating - How the hell do ya match up? - We must be very lucky I guess. We've only been around since April and we strictly play with couples or a group. Both the guy and gal need to be accepted by both of us, and yes it's a hard combo to find. Even in a group situation we need to feel ok with EVERYONE involved. So for us that has meant we go to A LOT of parties and put ourselves out there and meet people. Because of that we have had several foursomes and even a couple eightsomes, and some of those have been repeats too. As we have met people we've found that we're actually doing pretty good as new swingers because we've found that a lot of people who play with only couples don't get to play too often. I’m guessing the risk-benefit decision changes before and after enduring an STD/STI. I’m guessing most of us would be more risk averse after being infected, but that might depend on the kind and duration of infection. Bacterial infections are seemingly easier to treat (antibiotics vs antivirals).
Molliscum is reported to be self-limiting and can take between 6 months to 4 years to clear! Yikes!
Travel and first time - - I completely understand how she feels. And just for what it's worth, you two are at an age where a lot of couples head for divorce court anyway. There's no sense in driving in that direction if you don't have to. So, in my opinion, if you communicate really well, and are just looking for a little bedroom spice once in a while, going where you're unlikely to build a relationship isn't a bad idea. There are bunches of swinger sites all over the country. I'd suggest looking up a few swingers clubs in the area you want to visit and ask them what the predominant swing sites are in their area.
Once you get comfortable with the lifestyle, and feel like the risk is less, doing it closer to home is fun, and more convenient.
