In addition to state law hurdles and liquor licensing nightmare laws, each city has difficult sexually oriented business licensing requirements and ordinances. Yes, a nieve person will think that a swingers club is not a sexually oriented business, but city leaders and members of the public will make a big push to ensure a swingers club fits within the ordinance definitions. The licensing process is very public and anyone involved in the licensing will have a lot of exposure. Licensing applications often require background checks, names, business site visits and walkthroughs, and ongoing mandatory surveys after the business opens. Publicity and continued legal battles with the state and city scare couples away. Research Plato’s a Short-lived swingers club in NYC that was briefly open. During its existence it was continually challenged, closed, reopened, raided, and ultimately put out of business. ADMIN: Survey Says - Site Updates for Priority - - Fix the site so it's mobile-responsive. Your current mobile app sucks ass. (Like.. a LOT of ass). We had a great one with SwingRing and you shut it down. (I even offered to give you the whole thing for free.. but you ignored a ton of emails to that end). All modern social communities are now mobile-first. This one is mobile-non-existent. I recognize this is a total front-end UI rewrite. I would propose that it's probably about time. I can introduce you to some people who are very good at this kind of work, if you need. (And you'll have to forgive us if you make another promise that it's coming, and we don't believe you anymore). - Get rid of the awful chat system and replace it with something a little more.. modern. You're just plugging in bad third-party products and you just cheapen the whole experience. CometChat really is bad, and the mobile app you white-labeled from them is absolutely TERRIBLE. You should get your money back on that whole venture. (123FlashChat is also TERRIBLE!!) - Fix the "groups" feature here. You need a more social / facebook style wall where content that's relevant to us is pushed to our main Swingular page. If someone posts in a group I belong to, I should get notified of that and see it on my wall. If someone replies to a thread in the forums I'm participating in, I'd like to see that. Kasidie, Quiver, and other sites are figuring all of this out while this site still lives in the dark ages. As it stands, the social capabilities of this site aren't just bad -- they're embarrassing. No wonder so many people from this site are migrating to the (less than ideal) Facebook groups and Kik chat rooms. - I want a damn text message or push notification when someone sends me a message. I want to be able to reply to the message they sent from my mobile device, without going through some cumbersome sign-in process. I want interaction with other couples to be seamless. You really suck at this right now. (The SwingRing app had all this. You killed it in favor of something that looks like it was created by a junior-high kid). - Better event management.. I built a REALLY nice event management system in the SwingRing app that's now dead.. but parties were better attended than ever before as a result of that system. Now we're back to the stone age. The whole point of this site is to help swingers meet other swingers. Don't lose site of that! - All the bells and whistles that I get from other sites are missing. Damn Utah couples! :) - - (This should start a little debate and raise the hair on a few people's necks) There are many hotties in Utah. Sexy, fun, people who are great to hang with (and play with). Well.... If you think you want to go to Utah to meet these sexy people, we suggest a visit NOT a permanent relocation. We lived in Florida for 10 years and then moved our family to Utah for 5 years. Its hard to describe how difficult it is to live a "normal" life in Utah because the Mormons control so much of the total "consciousness" in the state. Especially if your wife and kids are Catholic. Utah is beautiful and the people are nice. However you almost have to go "underground" in order to have real fun and enjoy things that elsewhere are commonplace. The government, liquor laws, and the social interactions are heavily controlled by the Moron church. The mainstream populace, as well as the non-mormon citizens, are heavily influenced by the Church and because its everywhere... it seems normal. Its hard to see what I'm talking about until you get out of there and look back. Utah is a great place to visit, a great place to ski and play, but its definitely not "The Place" for free-thinking swingers types. Disclaimer: I grew up LDS in Utah. Graduated from high school and a major University in Utah before moving out of state. Most of my family is still there. Growing up in Zion everything seems normal until you live elsewhere and move back.... then you realize how the Mormon church controls almost all aspects of life there. We return to go skiing and visiting family multiple times each year. Its a great place to be from. Now if you live in Utah, there is no need to get all pissed off and write a diatribe about how much you love your state. I love Utah too. I just hate the heavy-handedness and the hypocrisy of the faithful. There is also no need to try to explain how you get along just fine in the Beehive state... I'm sure you do. Unless you grew up as a Utah Mormon, moved away for an extended time (no, a mission, or a cruise to Mexico, doesn't count), and then moved back to experience the contrast, you don't have a real understanding what I'm talking about. :p BLUEDECEMBER... Rather than travel to Utah for fun.... why not travel to "full-swap land" for an even better adventure??
