(Many of the resorts are topless-only -- and if you want to do "excursions" you're mixed with the vanillas, and all vanilla rules apply). - You can be completely naked on most parts of the ship, if you want. - Dedicated play-rooms. Lots of them. (Many resorts only have one smaller area dedicated for play... which makes sense... generally only 200 to 250 people at a resort at any given time). - MASSIVE crowd. 3,500+ people on a single ship. You'll never possibly get to know even 5% of the people on the ship. (In other words, you have a huge pool of people to choose from to find people you like!!). - Better / more types of food to choose from. Better alcohol choices. - Adult-themed vegas-quality shows every single night... followed by swinger-oriented after-parties. - Higher-end facilities and nicer overall atmosphere. (Cruise-ships are equivalent to a 4-star or even 5-star hotel. swingers resorts are usually 2-star..... 3-star at best.. most are pretty worn down and kind of gross). -----[ Resort Pros:]-------- - Smaller, more intimate setting. You'll get to know everyone at the resort at the time you are there. - Much more laid back. If all you want to do is lounge by the pool all day, every day, it's for you. - You can leave the resort any time you want and venture into town. - Typically you have better access to phones, internet, TV, etc. - Rooms at the resorts are bigger (although they are NOT nicer). If you look at the activity list on a typical resort, you'll find there's only one thing going on at any given time. Most people just lounge by the pool all day, every day -- and then they go to club-style events at night. The cruise is totally different... At any given time, you can choose from 3 or 4 different activities (or just lounge by the pool)... and you can still do the club-style stuff at night IF YOU WANT.. (but there's usually other alternatives to pick from). Honestly, the ONLY major downside to the cruise compared to the resorts is that they don't do the swingers takeover cruises very often. (Once or twice a year is all you've got to pick from). So if you're picky about WHEN you go... the resort is probably your only bet. If you're flexible, don't give it a second thought... the swingers cruise is where it's at. =)

can we swing and still not be in sin ? - - Since I've been sucked into the swirling vortex of this thread, the only way I can feel like I haven't been robbed of the last 1/2 hr (give or take) of my life is to add my .02 Ok, I know I could just chalk it up to that which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger, but adding my input seems more satisfying. I'll start off by saying that if you are doing this much research regarding religions and what they allow or don't allow regarding sexual activity it has to make me wonder if you're seriously considering converting to another religion just to save yourself the guilt of sin brought upon by whatever religion you happen to be at the moment. All religions have been formed and molded over the years by people. People who are not perfect, who have their own agendas. A sense of right and wrong doesn't come solely from religion. Many religions would like you to think that in an attempt to keep you in their camp and they'll be more than happy to tell you what is right and wrong for the rest of your life (in case you can't think for yourself). But if you have to switch religions just so that you can sleep at night after a fun-filled evening of swinging, you have some other things to figure out. Or perhaps you should just start you're own religion, where you can make all the rules. In any case, I think its fairly safe to say that most religions believe quite strongly that those of us engaging in the swinging lifestyle are sinning by engaging in immoral activities, just cuz they don't use the actual word sin, doesn't mean anything. Its just more politically correct these days to say immoral. In any case though, they most certainly believe that we (swingers) will most definitely be going to a very special level of hell, a level reserved for... (sorry, narrowly avoided an obsure pop culture reference) As for me, yes I believe there is a God. And one of the few things that I think is accurately stated repeatedly in the bible is to love thy neighbor and I'm more than happy to spread the love around in whatever way/shape is available to me. -SG

Swingers clubs in Amsterdam - - The best club I've been to in that area is called Fun 4 Two. It's huge. The facilities are upscale European, hidden inside a rural setting. The hot tub seats about 20 comfortably & is comparable to genuine Roman baths that I've seen in Italy. The food is pretty good. The play rooms are varied & numerous. The place is well kept. Parking is safe. The neighborhood is good. The overnight accommodations are limited in number, but excellent. The clientele was about 50% Dutch, 20% German, 10% French & 20% other. I was probably the only American there. English was spoken by about 80% of the people there, when needed. I think that the drive was roughly 45 minutes from downtown Amsterdam if you don't get lost. Bring a GPS if you go. They have different themes on different weekends & I think that new applicants are only allowed 3 of the 4 weekends per month. Check their website for details. The first time I was there, the place was an absolute blast. The last time, it had become a little more edgy, but was still very good. The owners/hosts (Laurens & Renika) are good people. Deal with them directly whenever possible. Try to arrive properly dressed. If you need to buy things from their in-house shop to make dress code at the last minute, it can get expensive. I also went to another club in Amsterdam proper that was said to be a swing club. It was actually a brothel inside a bar. I didn't stay to play. There is a club there called Fatima Morgana that sounded promising, but I have not had time to try it yet. Another place called Kasteel Waterloo was recommended to me & sounds very promising, but I have not been there yet either. That place is probably a much longer drive. In Amsterdam, there are at least 3 classifications of sex clubs. The actual swingers clubs are called parren clubs. If you need help finding accommodations, transportation, or any of the other usual types of travel assistance, you can go to the tourist office, marked VVV, but pronounced "fee fee fee". One is located in Schipol airport. Another is located at the train station in Amsterdam. The people there were very helpful & found us very good deals on everything that we needed. How to identify yourself as a Swinger - - FWIW we're on several other swing sites and one of them has an app for your smartphone that will alert you if you are close to another swinger (assuming they also have the app and it's enabled) and allows you to text them. Yeah, that one's pretty much been a bust as well even though it's actually a pretty good idea. People forget to turn it on (they usually don't leave it running when they're at work or home or at church just in case someone they really don't want to know they're a swinger somehow has the app) when they're actually in a vanilla situation where they wouldn't mind being approached. I don't know if the idea failed because people want privacy or because there really aren't that many swingers out there (despite all of our fantasies and "swingdar"). LOL
