This lifestyle - What are we really? - MORDON: Huh?? Wow...no easy task to consolidate concepts as broad and inclusive as swinging and/or polyamory into neat little boxes. I'm still trying to follow how you grouped the two into polar opposites. I'm not sure that the way you're defining either of those would be true for the majority of those in the swinging communities, and especially not Sirensextress or myself. If I have the ability to to love more than one person...then yes, I suppose I am polyamorous, but NOT in the same way that a couple who is truly polyamorous might view it (I do love not just one but all my children/siblings and whatnot). You've painted a rather bleak and harsh picture of us non-polyamorists, by boldly stating that swingers are, "friends with benefits....True swinging is having sex just for the sake of having sex. No talking ...no getting to know each other...not caring one iota about the other person. Basically have sex and if the other person dies on the way home ...who give gives a shit!" That statement is well, to put it bluntly, naive and uninformed. We've never engaged in sex without talking, or getting to know one another. How else would we know if there's any chemistry? We care greatly for most of the people we've encountered through swinging, and would most CERTAINLY care if they died on the way home! In short...we "give a shit"! I think in it's broadest sense, the term "swinging" is large enough to cater to the appetites of a wide spectrum of people, from those that are inclined to polyamory, to those that prefer to fuck 'em and leave 'em, to those that are the swinging wannabe's, to those that are exclusive. We are by no means polyamorous, but yes, we've run into couples that are in the truest sense of the word, poly. In fact, we've met couples that have wanted us to participate in the poly lifestyle. However, they are looking for something quite different that what we are looking for. Neither my wife nor myself are looking to be "married" to another couple, or to become a "secondary" husband/wife to them. Yet, being the "non-polyamorists" that we are, and according to your definition, we should be unable able to maintain very close friendships with any other swingers. Actually...our experiences have been quite the opposite. Most of our closest friends have come out of The Lifestyle. Do we love them? Yep. Have/are we sexually intimate with them? Yep. Are we romanticaly involved, exclusive and IN love with them? No. Do we love them like family? Yep. Are we polyamorous? No. Does this just boil down semantics? Yes..probably. However I felt compelled to speak on behalf of those of us that actually do care about the people that we meet through the lifestyle. Cuz we DO give a shit and we're NOT the cold-hearted people we've been made out to be! :)

Swing Clubs in Las Vegas - - We are going to be in Vegas the middle of November for 5 days. Staying at the Hard Rock or Planet Hollywood, haven't decided yet. Are there swing clubs there that you would recommend? Also this is our first time in Vegas, what are the "must do's"? Not the boring stuff you would find on tripadvisor, but the fun stuff that swingers/nudists would do ;))) Thanks!!

Florida Nude Beaches - Any on the west coast? - We are friends of the owners of Edun Lake and they do have a website and you need to let them know you are coming to get the gate code to get in. It is not a swingers resort but so many guests are in the lifestyle, the owners are not. If it is ok to mention a website on here, The Florida Swing Party host private parties at Edun Lake once in a while and you can check their website for a current calendar of events. I know they are hosting a great New Years Eve party not far from Naples. If you rent a boat, you can go to the north end of Captiva Island. Not sure of the legalities, but it is "owned" by the Sanibel Naturists and known locally as a nude beach but not officially recognized as one. As I write this, our local NBC news has a story about nude beaches on Floridas southwest coast coming on soon. If it is anything worth mentioning I will post about it.

Honesty? Really? - Posers/Liars - Oh my...SUCH paranoia! Does not everyone wish to advertise themselves in the best and most attractive way possible (at least MOST)? Is it truly THAT hard to give the benefit of the doubt? Personally, my experience has been that NOT everyone is out to lie, or even malicisouly mislead others who may peruse their profiles. Seriously people, it's not some grand conspiracy against those who may consider themselves "above par" from the common swinger-folk. Even those that might come across as being the most critical of others, and who consider themselves the "creme de la creme" of the Swinging community, are not immune to even the smallest of imperfections. It is unfortunate that many that are the quickest to point out "flaws" in others...would seemingly have plenty of "flaws" themselves, in the eyes of onlookers of course (beauty/non-beauty will always remain in the eye of the beholder). NOBODY is without these so-called "flaws". Here are just a few examples of what I have personally witnessed being balked at AND often possessed by those that balk, during the course of my journey in swinging.... -Stretchmarks (gained perhaps through puberty, pregnancy, breast-feeding, working out, weight gain, etc.) -Moles -Asymmetrical bodies (so-called perfect symmetry does NOT occur naturally, not even surgically is it possible) -Skin blemishes -Errant hairs growing unknown on unseen parts of the body -Birthmarks -Skin discolorations -Premature aging of the hands and neck areas -Unsightly cuticles and/or nailbeds -Man-hands (on women) -Feminine hands (on men) -Hobbitesque feet -Cankles -Crooked smiles -Yellow teeth -Green teeth -Unattractive gums (gingivitis) -Crooked teeth -Unsightly gaps in the teeth -Psoriasis -Eczema -Dimples (yes...in perhaps all four cheeks) -Cottage cheese (yes...virtually everyone manifests this when sitting, squatting etc. to some extent, perhaps unknown the them. Sorry, it's just the nature of fat; even the leanest of people have a thin layer of fat that can pucker in the right position) -Inverted nipples -Crow's feet -Spider veins -Varicosities -Breasts that have lost the battle with gravity -Poor breast augmentation -Beer bellies -Love handles -Double chins -Halitosis -Funky body chemistry manifesting as an unpleasant odor -Smegma -Dandruff -Obesity -Over weight -Under weight -Too many bony prominences Ok...I think that's fairly comprehensive and you get my point. There are many different ways to be unique AND "attractive" (and of course "unattractive" as well). Basic Psychology might suggest that the way that we view others, whether we find beauty or ugliness, is simply a reflection of how we feel and what we view ourselves to be, and of course, speaks clearly to our relationship with ourselves. Honesty is a completely subjective phenomenon, and those that share honestly about themselves may be viewed as being dishonest by those who are expecting or fearing to be mislead. Please don't think for a moment that I am pointing out what I either like or dislike; many of these I actually adore and find quite charming. Personally, I think it's the uniqueness of everyone's body and body habituses that add to the overall attraction and uniqueness of every individual. Those damn single men! - Where do they fit in this lifestyle? - SexyPoker I've never been to a swingers club outside of Dallas Ft Worth, Sans Souci, Iniquity, AfterMidnight, and the PlayPen. Iniquity may not allow single men in, but I know the others do. In those clubs single men are restricted to an area at the bar. They are not to approach any couples or single ladies! Doing so will get you a warning, and then tossed out! I dont normally go to a swingers club alone, I'll take a lady friend with me, she may NOT be a swinger, but she does like to dance, socialize, dress sexy, and enjoys the attention, and the people. When I have gone alone, I find a couple I know and sit with them. The biggest mistake anyone can make, be it a single man or woman or couple is this. They ASSUME that those in the club are looking to go home and get laid by strangers.. When you enter a swingers club planning on getting laid, plan on being disappointed! As a single male myself, I have to be respectful to ALL I encounter! It's like a business, one upset customer tells TEN of thier friends, and they tell more friends, the next thing you know your business is dead. You build customers ONE at a time, you build SWINGER friends ONE at a time. I cant fix the fact that you've had bad experiences, there is no REAL answer. Screening everyone who comes in the club, just means everyone avoids that club.
